Jesus christ, can Columbus maintain their shit for once? They're sirens are absolutely amazing, I mean Whelen ftw, but they all have so many issues! For god sake Columbus, maintain your sirens. Amazing video by the way man, been watching your content for a long time now. Keep up the great work.

The sirens are being maintained, maybe on a touch and go basis but still being worked on regardless, by the vendor when issues pop up. These sirens are had to catch in the act unless you listen out for them because of the nature of the way they malfunction, granted my theory behind why they do this regarding the batteries dying is true. SI testing probably isn't catching these types of failures.

No, the Whelen was poorly maintained. Testing a Whelen on multiple signals each test usually does nothing bad to it. This unit most likely has dying batteries.
