Ad a native Irish growing up speaking Irish. It's fkn heartwarming so see so many foreign people come to us and embrace our culture. Words can't express how good it is to see.

While I understand this sentiment, and I know foreign people who are better men than me, there is an air of sadness to seeing our culture diminish and dilute due to inevitable globalisation and a rise this liberal western homogenous culture. I hope that doesn't come across bigoted, as the concern regarding the collapse of a culture I love is admittedly more nuanced than I can express with mere words.

I am a native Basque language speaker, living in the Basque Country and I felt in love with Ireland when I was 13. I am 60 now and I've been to Ireland dozens of times. I always say that I was not born in Ireland but, however, Ireland was born in me!!!!!!
