I think some people miss the importance of Tony. He wasn't following Clay to make sure he was listening to the tapes but instead he knew Clay had to in order to see things from Hannah's point of view. Tony was very aware that everyone else on the tapes would try and twist Clay in to believing everything was a lie so needed to stop this from happening He was also scared of the what Clay would do when he found out about his reason because as we know Tony saw Hannah's body so didn't want to find Clay the same way

Heartbreakingly good. I binge watched it over the weekend. It made me feel deeply, and I feel awful. Yet it was beautifully crafted. It reminds me of this one manga called Orange. Except in that, this group of friends gets letters from their future selves, giving them instructions of how to save their friend from taking his life. It has that same feel to it of "everything affects everything". Although, they are very different stories with very different suicide victims. And one indulges in being able to change the past and fix our mistakes. The other is more realistic.

I do have a question about Clay though. In the show, Clay's parents are trying to get him back on medication, I'm assuming for some sort of psychological issue. And Clay starts seeing things and hearing things in one episode that aren't happening, the description said waking nightmares or something similar. I was curious to know what sort of mental health issues Clay has or had in the past? Or maybe it's a sleep disorder? Or a stress disorder?Not really sure. I guess sleep disorders, and stress disorders for that matter, can fall into the realm of mental health since they involve the mind as well. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone can clear that up for me. Just curious about it.

I just finished watching it and it was very aggresively emotional. I didn't like it the way I expected the story would go, cause it was best portrayed. The actors were insanely good, especially Dyllan and the girl played Jess. I'm not a big watcher of movies or TV. But there is one show I watch religiously, that's The Walking Dead. I always loved this show because the theme is that of which I have loved from being a young child, ZOMBIES! But not only that, I love how they really create this in depth bond with you and the characters. It really delves into their psychology and emotions. This is what they did with '13 Reasons Why'. But in a way I've never seen before. This show really made me feel something that honestly I've never really felt before. And even though it is just an act. Stories like this do actually happen all around the world and I think this show should inspire people to be happier and love each other. And above everything it should educate people to know when someone is feeling this way about life. Incredible. If there's anyone watching the interview or planning on watching this show, I really do recommend it. This is powerful stuff

I honestly am amazed and impressed by this series. it's bold and confrontational which I love about it. In my own life I've never shied away from important albiet difficult topics. I love that there now exists a show that begs the question, "We're all alive on this Earth together and these tragic things are happening within that fold so why aren't we talking about it?" Kudos to the author of the book, the people who cared enough to make this series a reality and to the actors brave enough to flesh it out. I think it's the most difficult, emotionally jarring, and real experience I've had watching... anything. So why would I put myself through that? Growth doesn't just come from our successes... in fact, successes often are the reward for our persistence through our failures. That's why you watch this show, to learn and grow from it. And to these moron fundamentalist religious groups - It's 13 Reasons Why Hanna Baker chose to end her own life, NOT 13 Reasons why people should take their own lives. The show is outwardly and openly against suicide. If any of you zealot blowhards had actually watched the show before reacting to it... you'd know that.

this series had me hooked and so emotionally invested in it..like no other series. It's so powerful and so emotional and for it completely overtook me to the point where I could not stop thinking about Hannah Baker and imagining that she was real and how I would have been able to save her
