I think it is touchy because I think the skate community wants to remember him for what he was. In my opinion one of the best of all time but if you let the wrong people become too aware you are gonna have a b movie with someone like a failed model playing him eventually. I think what Dill and FA do to honor him is more of what he would want.

Rest in peace, it's weird I'm not even sad anymore, I'm just glad that I existed around the same time on the same planet as him and bore witness to the beautiful life he shared with the world. He's not gone to me he's only transcended to a higher plane of existence. He isn't dead, he'll live on in the hearts of many forever.

I think people are missing the dichotomy between how Heath explained living with Dylan when you're a little older and your focused on skating opposed to being young and carefree, he's just telling it how it is, no big diss on Dylan or some over hyped attitude shit, maby I'm just older now and I'm different from how I used to skate when I was in my 20's

What's so cool about this is you have all the anticipation from Long, Kirchart and shit about his Gravis part, but when it dropped it just blew all expectations and everyone away. Like purist skateboarders, tastemakers, scenesters, industry people and haters - no one could deny how good it was. He was one of the best skaters you wanted to dislike but he combined power with style and none of it looked contrived. I only wish they'd done this episode posthumously cause it would've afforded way more candid responses from everyone.

I was fortunate enough to have the chance to meet Dylan and talk to him personally for 10 minutes. he is not pretentious, he is not a hipster, and he was a genuinely good person. I was very fortunate to be able to spend the time that I had with him. he was not stuck up or egotistical in any way.

Kicking a pill habit the way he did speaks vplumes about his character. He made a commitment and kept his word followong through on one of the hardest habits to kick. It also shows he isnt an addict and just got caught up getting high to mask the emotion struggkes n stresses of the moment. Either way love hearing stories of self control and will power prevailing

Infuhnite just confused. When you get on that binge you get fogged up and not really see what's happening or it's just an excuse to act out.
@pjf031319797 жыл бұрын
Infuhnite I agree... There had to be a reason to hide from his feelings. He even said that he was using to escape some kind of ill feelings or emotions. I do know that he had some real anxiety around groups of people though and with high expectation being placed on your shoulders to be a stud. That looming over you especially when combined with any underlying, untreated affliction could defiantly be suppressed with the aid of pills. I though it was benzodiazepines but when I see pictures of him during that time though, he looks and sounds like an opiate addict.
@Souran1234 жыл бұрын
@@pjf03131979 He was feeling very drained and tired from staying up until 3 am at the alien workshop house, it took a toll mentally and it made him feel drained and tired.
