Any idea why we can’t export custom dimensions to mp4? E.g 864x1080
@DigiDriftZone Жыл бұрын
None of this makes a huge difference (except 1080p for instagram) as you highlighted but I would go for H.265 on Apple Silicon. Because the output file size is half of H.264 for identical or better quality and there is a hardware decoder that makes this as fast as H.264. On Intel the primary reason not to use H265 was speed of exporting (or compatibility with older devices).

Hi, I did as you said, but my quality in 1080p in draft seems to be worse than average. Is this just a feature of viewing a draft ? or is there something else causing it? I'm worried because not all viewers are switching to 1440p and 4k.

3:31 That goes the same with HDR videos too. One time I did that, it washed out all of the colors I've graded which looked much worse than the 4K quality, in my opinion. Welp lesson learned, do not upload 4K or HDR videos to Instagram; only 1080p and SDR.

This is a great tip, but I think you undersold the potential size difference. If I use the Apple Devices 4K export, my 26 minute KZbin upload file is 3.91GB. Using your settings, that same project exports to a 9.76GB file. Since my wife and I have a travel channel and can't always guarantee great upload speeds at all our Airbnb or hotels, the smaller size is critical. Am I missing something?

These settings did not work for us at all. We uploaded our music video (shot in 4K) at these settings and it looked so much blurrier than the file. We tried uploading the full quality .mov file exported Apple ProRes 422 via Compressor and it looked great.
@dylanjohndickerson3 ай бұрын
Perhaps that works for a 2 minute music video, but a lot of videos exported out in ProRes are going to be so massive. A typical tutorial KZbin video of mine, typically 6-8 minutes, is around 30-50gb if exported out in ProRes. But if that works for you then go for it! More power to ya.
