I had a lower radiator leak once , on the way home . I stopped for water about 10 miles from home . The engine was a 302 in a 72 Mercury . It was glowing red . It took 30 minutes to get water to even stay in the engine . Then I filled it up & drove it home . I bought a new radiator , changed the oil & filter , & the radiator . Filled it with coolant & drove it another 30k more miles . I still have that engine .

Great job at retrieving that Mustang II. Two suggestions. 1. Change rear diff fluid cayse no one ever does. Remove fill plug FIRST. 2 When you powerwash, pre soak the car with a mix if Dawn dishwashing liquid (one cup) to a gallon or two of water FIRST. You can also add a half cup of kerosene too. Wash with pressure washer from top down. Good luck and well done

I Have a 1976 Mustang II Coupe from Birmingham AL looks ALMOST the same that recently gotten seems like this one needs a full restore as well. That is one rare classic and would love to see the finished fully restored classic.

i think she deserves a limited slip diff and a nice rattle can paint job. drive her and enjoy her. for some reason this video was really heartwarming. i think the lil old mustang just needs some love.

A good going over, new exhaust, better diff and a bit of a restoration. This car has earned it.
