Eh, it's weird. Europop is like vanilla icecream with sprinkles. It's nothing but sugar, and although it's good, we've developed to like things that aren't. Like bourbon and cigarettes. As in, as a European young person I always heard it on the radio, in the car, etc., got nostalgic over it on KZbin again and now it still is in most of my playlists. I was born in 1992 on Germany and currently have the weirdest childhood flashbacks. Couldn't name half of these songs but I still somehow know all of them and can immediately sing them even though I didn't know any English as a child.

3:58 Sidechaining has been a thing roughly since the 50s and was in fact used in eurodance, though not for the same purposes. Some mild sidechaining compression was used for basses like in the Eiffel 65 example you showed, and a lot to create sequenced leads from pads/synths which didn't allow that, like the gated choir lead in "Nowhere land" by Clubhouse.

Eurobeat is descended from italo disco, and was very popular in japan throughout the 90's and into the early 2000's, it has more of an 80's disco-pop element than eurohouse or bubblegum dance, and is usually faster with emphasis on arpeggiated synth-brass melodies

This is amazing. I tried dabbling into EuroPop/Euro-Disco back in like 2010? 😂 I am shocked you didn't mention Aqua tho (even tho people would consider them Bubblegum Pop) but technically it's the same thing. Sad that so many people also hated the Vengaboys back in the day too, I actually liked them (no shame). 😂 Might have to dabble into Europop for fun.
