Realism. That’s what makes your videos so enjoyable. You guys show it all. That flight had me nervous too.

As a rule an unbalanced prop throws out all chance of a smooth flight . Forcing the plane to pitch in direction of prop rotation . The higher the throttle is placed the greater the flight displacement . Your knowledge and skill as a RC pilot clearly made that some what difficult flight look easy ! An as for the landing ...any landing you survive is a joy to behold . I have been looking forward to this planes flight , and I SALUTE you both Pilot Robert and Captain Blaz !

Capt. Blaz and Pilot Roberts, I just want to say thanks and give a hardy Salute to both of you for such entertaining videos. I love the WWI planes and have a Dynam Dv that I'm working on. I also replaced the aileron and rudder hinges as they looked a little weak. I will be using a 3600 battery to start. I am finishing the plane off with some scale work and hopefully will be able to take it on a maiden flight this spring or summer. Sorry to hear about your hand. I hope that isn't the final diagnosis. Will keep you in my prayers. Good flying and am looking for another flight with the DV. Stay safe and thanks again.

Good maiden. Thanks for the rudder to aileron mix reminder. Looking forward to more spirited flying next time!
@PetrincicBrosRC4 жыл бұрын
Thanks my friend. But it is better if you mix it with the hand. This bird needs ailerons only to level it. They do almoust nothing for the turns. Rudder is the way to go.
@motionsic4 жыл бұрын
Makes sense for the turns. I wonder what it looks like when you do a roll - probably much better with lighter weight and correct CG. It did not look like you pushed full throttle much. It would be interesting to dogfight from the Albatross...

Thanks guys for one more great and fun video! Excelent flight as usual Robert ...so nice to see the Petrinic Bros RC channel growing every day...this kind of airplanes (i.e. Decatlon, Cub's, WWI biplanes, some warbirds etc) are perfect to refine your pilot skils, as many others already said RUD and ELE are the primary control surfaces with AIL on the opposite for a coordinated turn (for stable landings RUD is a must)...the colors of this plane are great in the sky...keep the work guys, never stop! Cheers from Brazil

Your videos are entertaining to watch esp the flying, v. good photography as well, what I would like is the models c. g. in mm from the wing root. I know you always mention the ”G” spot and show how it balances but the mm measurement would be v. useful esp. if the viewer has same model. I recommend this as they generally seem to fly very good and I bet all viewers are pilots, thanks for your reviews.

Yes, such a biplane on a scale from prehistory sometimes requires the full concentration of the pilot, and if the actual flight is not a lot of fun, the great flight picture makes up for it and nobody suspects how much nerve it costs :)

This is the plane the Famous Red Baron flew, nice flight! You can balance the spinner by using a little piece of electrical tape and keep repositioning it until it gets smooth, then put inside the spinner in the same sweet spot and you’re good to go ✌️✌️

Just like the real Albatros the model suffers from adverse yaw and the rudder needs to be mixed in for nice pleasant sports flying,the model also flies nose up a little but this is nothing to worry about just has its own unique sit in the air,another tip is to put more up aileron in than down which works well with the very thin wing section,the ailerons have slight reflex at the wingtips that cope well with any stall but nothing to worry about as it just nods its nose down with no wing drop,overall one of my favourite flying WW1 biplanes and I wish that they would bring out more Dawn Patrol types other than the jets they keep bringing out recently,manufacturers please bring out more of these delightful old biplanes to add to our hangars.
@1918Camel3 жыл бұрын
All I can say Angle is that I am with you whole heartedly!!! Bring out more of the old WWI fliers. There are soooo many that they could come out with. I would love to have a nice SE5a to go with my Dynam Alb Dva.
@mongoose41173 жыл бұрын
I used to have the parkzone d5 and it was the same way! Tons of right rudder just to get thru a loop!😲😎lmao. I used to have a bunch of ww1 fliers( some nice balsa great planes models) a house fire claimed em all. Now no one makes an affordable ww1 plane!?😾my favorite was my dr1 triplane after i added weight to the landing gear wing.

Subscribed! I really enjoyed the video and commentary - all done in one take as well! Nicely done... Nicely flown as well, it's always a struggle when you discover your ailerons are under powered! I am late here and have yet to check out your later vid to see if you have already found this out, but I will say this anyway; I have found bi-planes tend to over-stabilise on the roll axis when you have a lot of weight at the bottom, making it harder for the ailerons to push it out of level flight. And this model did indeed have that double-sized battery at the bottom! I am currently building an Albatross out of Depron foam and having learned from my other bipes, the battery will be sitting nearer to the top of the fuselage. Also, we have a saying when designing RC planes; 'Air Doesn't Scale' - I've made the ailerons a bit bigger than they are on the real thing.

Hi, Petrincic Bros. This early design of aircraft was one of my favorites when I made model planes. It looked so modern to me compared to the British Camel. But for RC flying the actual design of ailerons and rudder is a little too small. But it still looks great. Thanks for sharing! Stay healthy!

You'll want to put the Battery about 25 to 30 mm back from the nose of the Battery compartment. Plus a 2200 battery is a must. My Parkzone Albatross CG's perfectly with No battery in place. These WW1 birds are a different Breed than the war birds, But, so much fun.
