For sorting you may need to create the Ranking for desired column items based on the requirements

Can you please tell this same solution for direct query mode as time intelligence won't work in direct query mode.

Ready made time intelligence functions may not work with direct query, but still you can calculate YTD MTD or QTD using base DAX function combinations for Direct query mode. I have posted videos about how to calculate time intelligence functions in direct query, Please check that out.
