Thanks for the compliment! You could change the shipment information on the sales return order, to show the return address for the vendor. Unfortunately that does not happen automatically when you create sales and purchase return (since it assumes you are going through your location), but could be done with a modification.

Great video. When you selected the create return related documents I get why you did the purchase return order as you are returning the product back to the vendor. However I am wondering why did you select the purchase order and sales order?

Thanks for the feedback! The idea is that if you have a defective product, you get it back from the customer, send it back to the vendor, which replaces the product. You then receive the replacement and send to the customer. A full circle. It doesn't happen often like that in the real world except for very unique items, but the feature is still there.

The process I followed: Purchase Order > Recieve > Purchase Return Order > Return Receipt > Purchase order (It still shows me Quantity Received). Why is that or what am I missing?

check the PO line details --> make sure the QTY are 'Exact'. Make sure the system updated posted (no delay), Make sure its not a "Partial Return" in this case you'll need to check a box somewhere to complete it. Only the dev will put an "error message", no error message, its likely not a custom process. Two years later, but it applies to Cloud Dynamics as well. (2024)
