I didn't synthesize it when I melted it, but was it 925 from the beginning?? It was well made, but the joint between the dragon head and the chain is not natural.

I say to all of you, I hope that people will appreciate this work that spends hours, great effort and fatigue for the eyes

Hello from Germany. I am a Goldsmith myself and I love your work. In my job I never make chains myself. The jeweler I work for has a very different style. So I enjoy to see something different in my free time. I just want to give you my opinion to two of your techniques because I think it works better that way, but maybe I am wrong so please do not feel offended. The first one is just a small advice: When you make these rolls of sandpaper you can roll them firmly and tape them with one small stripe to the metal pin. It will get more precise and less noisy. The second one: Silver is a very heat-conductive metal, so a large soft flame for soldering and annealing would be better. The heat travels though the silver anyway, so it is better to heat up the whole thing, than to focus on one small point with an extremely high heat. It will cause pores on these spots and the risk of melting it by accident is much higher. The flame you use I would recommend for platinum, which is not heat-conductive at all. I hope you read this and I would like to hear your opinion. (I am sorry for my bad English)

I'd love to make something like this but don't have any of the tools. This reminds me of what a beautiful thing a well tooled shop geared for specific crafts is. A space where a true artist can create in their medium.
@Zofi_Gaming2 жыл бұрын
All you really need is a pair of pliers and some rings which you can buy online. This guy has a bunch of fancy tools, but you don't actually need all of that to make a decent bracelet. I get all of my stuff at The Ring Lord, but I'm sure there are many stores that have pre-cut rings for you to work with. It may not be as fancy as this, but it is enough to get started. I have a necklace and a dragonweave bracelet that I wear frequently that I made without the metalworking tools displayed here.

I think it is a nice type of the braclet. Because you could change a little and have new piece of a jewelry. Change head of the animal to another one, or change the braclet weaving a bit and it's a new product. It's a very versatile. I hope you'll won't get tired of it. Have a nice day.

@tagyoureit23642 жыл бұрын
Hi, if I may ask a question, what type of snips are you using to get rings off a coil? I haven't found good "metal scissors" that don't leave a deformation in the ends of the rings and have instead been using a jeweler's saw. Many thanks and much respect, for your jewelry making swag is far superior to mine.

Is any metal will be mixed with silver for strongness ..?like copper with gold..
@sirfirehare3 жыл бұрын
Silver Jewellery is almost always sterling silver not fine silver/pure silver which means it is usually 92.5% silver and the rest is copper, there are other alloys aswell such as argentium silver which is really interesting, but by far the most common still used is sterling silver.
