Been a relatively long time since i've done anything Dynasty Warriors, particularly DW 4 so went back to the OST and as soon as I heard this little number I knew i'd have to get to work covering it. 'Verge' was suggested to me aaaaagggggeeesssss ago by YT user MistNinjaJulian so finally got it out, hope you dig!
Dropping the solo on this one is my buddy David who as usual absolutely tears it! Drop over to his YT channel for some more shred-tastic goodness!

I'll probably be dropping a few more DW covers before the year is done so keep a look out, and in particular, keep an eye out at the end of August, beginning of September, i've got a m8 who's gonna be dropping something hot and spicy! ;)

Great choice of tune there, and you two really rocked it. Of course more DWs always great in my books anyway. I know I left some suggestions about perhaps some DW2 songs, get that one represented, but I got to thinking listening to this; Arena from DW3 would be cool to hear a heavier rendition of. My favourite song in the series, but it's definitely rock, not metal. A metal version could be something great, or at least interesting.

Hey Paul, it seems like you prefer passive pickups to active. Have you ever tried active pickups and would you use them? What are your thoughts?

I've been using actives since 2013. I find them massive for rhythms and very creamy for leads. When I got my Jackson last year I dropped passive Duncans in them and they have a great, sharp rock sound which for me feels quite reminiscent of 80's guitar leads. As much as I like passives, i'd go for actives if I had to choose.
