Dynasty Warriors 4: XL - Shu Musou Mode 14 - Battle of the Wu Zhang Plains

This battle is much more manageable on the Shu side, you've plenty of time to help out all your officers. Xiahou Dun appears in this battle cuz I killed Xiahou Shang before at Mt. Ding Jun.

One thing that scares me about the duel mode is losing of course. Enemies are powered up and the A.I is smart. I usually end up with A Draw.

Duel is easier in Xtreme Legends, however, since you retain your stats. In the vanilla, you're technically stripped off of your equipped items so your stats are in the lowest. Also, the enemy can use Musou freely without refilling since they don't have Musou Gauge while you start the duel with empty Musou Gauge in the vanilla. In XL, you and the enemy start with full Musou Gauge and their Musou gauge is visible so they can't use it freely

This stage was hard the first time i did it, couldnt kill the enemy officers fast enough so morale was super low and everyone died

This battle can go down quickly if you didn't defeat Sima Yi as soon as possible (ideally, after he gets surprised by Zhuge's reappearance). He has so many troops with 8-star morale.

the version i played it this in i never had that happen. i was a custom character for it granted. but i had zhuge liang die wei launches a massive counter charge and i had to overcome them i didnt even know zhuge liang actually can fake is death. while ur shu

I roughly remember one instance where Zhuge Liang did NOT return to life, but it's likely I'm misremembering it. Glad to hear a similar event happening to someone else, though.
