Okay now this is very fucking sad. It's a shame that the Shu Kingdom never united the three kingdoms back then. Guan Yu's death followed by Zhang Fei and Liu Bei. And Zhuge Liang's death at Wu Zhang Plains. All these are just so upsetting :(

xDonaldDx Jiang Wei probably could have been more successful but i think he rushed into it. Lui Shan just didnt care for conquering the land, the 3 way war was zhuge liangs fault anyway, zhou yu wanted 2 way split between wu an shu vs wei

Oh yeh, Gan Ning is defo a fav of mine, remember how awesome he was in DW4 and hes been 1 of my favs since, Ma Chao is another of mine. I dont really bother bout all these private forums for particular games (and films), Im also a big MH fan too and I like alot of mmos/rpgs.

And eunuch Huang turned down several strategies of his because Huang wanted power for himself. And Zhuge Liang highly praised Jiang Wei's intellect. (cont.) because to be honest, a lot of wrong impression about the game was due to many major gaming website accused them. You can't change the core of gameplay otherwise, the fan will resent you (As it did with DmC). DW7 brought back the charge system with again new town system, bond, weapon seal, and again new character, new story presentation, and new moveset and EX and Musou for each characters. Weapon switch from DW3 was brought back with some tweak. Conquest and Legendary mode was added.

Yes admitted Ive always luvd this bout DW too, and I do realize what u mean, the levels on DW games were totally open, instead of Strikeforce where they're split into crappy sections. It even kind of doesnt do the characters cool musou power forms justice I think. But 1 thing I do luv bout Strikeforce is the whole musou power up forms they each get, and they look so cool too, especially Ma Chow, Liu Bei, and poster boy of the series Zhou Yun. And I like how u can change all thier weapons too.

The first and Third Gundam are pretty good. The second one was debatable though. I like how technical to play Gundam because there is no certain way to kill enemies on hard if you don't know what are you doing. I like that kind of pressure.

Don't worry, there are a lot of spin off from the warrior series like Gundam, Blade Storm, One Piece. I think the point of making each intallment from the warrior series was to listen to the fan of the 3 kingdom novel (Yes, that novel, Journey to the West, The creation of Gods are like the equivalent of Marvel and DC comics in America) to make their favorite general non generic and better story presentation. Samurai warrior also change the story mode a lot in each individual as well.

What are you talking about? Each MS have different moveset, it's either which one the ace pilot. They are not famous for clone moveset you know. Gundam used a different tactic since your setup will affect your playstyle and the boost cancel was pretty awesome.

(cont.) so with all the changes, with their music got constantly change in a good way (Koei musics are always awesome). Also, Agility is not broken anymore. Brilliance (Almighty in the past game) still pretty broken but got nelfed by never activated Absorb and Osmosis upon activation. The difficulty at their highest still make you more cautious as always if you don't have Brilliance. Chaos in DW5, 6, WO3 and Nightmare in DW7 can pressure you if you are open. This is not all.

"I hope so"? I think he meant, Shu wont last long once Jiang Wei takes command. Kongming had to be such a miscalculated advisor but made changes greatly during the fall of the Han.

I think that you should think DW as many staple series like Megaman. You would hate to see Megaman become another Kingdom Heart as X7 did, didn't you? It's hack and Slash and I did notice the change in engine, Moveset, character design. Each DW2-7 played differently from each other with new additional character and tweak+new moveset every game. From 5 to 6, they basically change A LOT OF the combat system, character design, Level design and add some more strategic base. New Moveset was inveted

1) Actually Jiang Wei kept Shu alive. After Zhuge Liang and Liu Bei died....it was essentially going downhill, and Jiang Wei kept the dying kingdom on life support. People flocked to fight underneath Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang, but without them, the kingdom just wasn't the same.

Is that from that one writer Bo Yang? Cause I've checked several different biography sites for these characters and never seen anything like that for Jiang Wei. In fact, most of the sites I see always piles praise on him UNTIL Deng Ai enters into history. Jiang Wei won as many battles as he lost (Considering how outnumbered Shu was by that point, I'd call that a major achievement), and that the reasons they lost were because Jiang Wei kept getting restricted by Fei Wan and the Eunichs of Shu

Cant remember if I replied to u or not, so yes it wud b nice to see Zhuge older wen he dies, in fact I shud think quite a few of the characters shud b older by the time they r supposed to hav died, but then the story in DW series always seems to focus on them in thier primes, which is probably why Zhuge is never of certain age. As for language dub, yes I guess both of these wud b nice, but I think Koei basically focus on exactly where DW games sell the most, otherwise I dont know.

Yes Im not mad on all those spinoffs, but I do luv DW, the characters I like the game[play, hey imagine if they made a massive open-world styled DW game, where u cud get on ur horse, explore, intereact with other chars of that universe, I guess Im basically saying a rpg. Sumthing that cud really tell that story in a epic and different way.

(Cont) and here come WO3, while WO2 was a huge step back from the original. This time Koei made A LOT OF CHANGE. First of all, they tweak the category and a new one Wonder, Speed was not as broken with their free R1 anymore, power get puffed more with their sturdier armor, Technique got nelfed to prevent form Enhanced charge spam. DW characters are ALL DECLONED from DW7. Also, that doesn't stop them from including more characters with their unique moveset. Musou battlefield was added aside Free.

Ive like the other spin offs and such like, Samurai Warrirors and especially Orochi Warrirors, that was cool as it combined both games. But Koei never did carry on with these either, each just 2 sequels was it? then bk to churning out DW games again. Maybe DW is massive in Japan/China and gamers just luv it like how mainstream luv Football and shooter games in my country, but I wud just really appreciate if they added more new features. This is y I like DW: Strikeforce the most now.

Yes thats good point, myself I just prefer the spin-offs like Strikeforce and Orochi Warriors, I want them to go further with that really, and just end DW series, u can only tell that epic story so many times. If they really got in the drawing board they cud cm up with so many new Ideas with those characters, even further than Strikeforce.

WO3 is a great game and I like they have 3 endings. Now, give that to DW main series with three ending each fraction then my life is complete. In the next installment, free mode is back with some more new characters.

(cont.) and handle differently from their brother (This is not COD kind of gun when everything basically handle the same). Though it was negative, it was a good effort for testing the next gen power (I did hate a bunch of character removed and clone) before their real big game DW7. I don't thin it was the same at all because I always feel playing a new game each installment. Repetitive is a stupid excuse because ALL GAMES ARE REPETITIVE. Koei did change a lot of stuff but it was ignored.

While I don't hate DW6, it was kinda a hit and a miss to me. DW5 on the other hand added a lot of depth to the system. Story? Each character now have their own story. In Xtreme Legend, new mode like Legend, Xtreme or Survival (a lot of fun since it was like creating your own armies and worry about other stuff like Empire). I think though DW7XL offered a great experience and thankfully correct 7's mistake. DW5XL will always be the best DW for me.

Well ever1s got thier fav DW i guess, I just stopped following it at DW4, but Ive been luving the spinoffs ever since. Heres looking at 1 big in-depth DW game, heck maybe even just call it Romancing the 3 Kingdoms (like they used to b called). And u get to play the game in different ways, rpg, Kessen style gameplay or just normal mode DW gameplay.

Haha, I hate Strikeforce. It was too isolated for me. What I like about Dynasty Warriors is that epic war feeling, like back in ancient China. Granted, it's not as epic as it could be though because the soldiers just stand around most of the time waiting for you to cut them. My favorite DW/spin-off is on the 3DS though because you can control 4 characters at once and issue commands to the other 3, but that's Samurai Warriors, not DW unfortunately.

Ah but thats the thing I cud've gotten into DW5, then wen DW6 eventually rolled along Id b expected to get into that, bieng a slight Improvement from the previous, so on and so on. I want a whole new game, new story sumthing different, more depth.

Yeh free mode was best, remember DW4 how much options that had? I stopped buying the DW installments after DW4, only bothered bout the spinoffs Samurai Warriors and Orochi, Strikeforce series. I did actually get DW1 on psp that was a alright little time filler. Id just rather them stick with the "Orochi Warriors" series now, and just make 1 big indepth game, with many story branches, all chars, extra costumes, everything from previous games in the series and jus roll it all into one big game.

Of course, you don't speak for everyone. There's a reason why DW still sells. I don't agree with scrapping DW, but I do agree they need to make some changes that are more appropriate for next-generation gamers. For example, shouldn't Zhuge Liang be older when he dies? Also, I would love Chinese voice acting (Mandarin, not Cantonese, of course).

Every Installment from DW2 - DW8 has basically been the same game over and over again. Im all for this style of hack-n-slash type game it is fun! I epseically like games where I can lv up and work on characters etc. But they hav never really introduced anything new to it.

I really hope Koei just stop churning out DW games now, theres not much they can really do to improve the same game. I mean unless they went MMO and they tried that already which didnt seem to take off, maybe if they went more war stratiegic into the area of Total War series, that cud be nice, especially if they tried to be abit more like Kessen 2 (any1 remember that classic??). Koei hav been milking it for yrs now, maybe they shud just stick to DW: Strikeforce, that way pretty damn good.

DW5 and XL5 should be in your collection because Musou mode was actually individual for each character. XL ver. had more mode to offer too. The combat is faster. Chaos mode is even more tendious than Expert in XL4. You missed one of the greatest DW ever.
