And the fact they also brought back the 1-on-1 duel mid-war from DW6 as a shout to the original PS1 fighting game shows they're really compensating for what happened in DW9.

There will be only one Lu Bu.. Inada Tetsu Lu Bu so happy he still voiced Lu Bu on this new DW I noticed some characters voice are different on JP.. of course Sima Yi is excluded because his original seiyuu already passed away

Now that the story only covers up until Red Cliff (mentioned in the live) I wonder if Sima Yi will actually be included in the series. as far as I'm aware, his VA is now the same as his son, Sima Shi (Okiayu Ryoutaro, ironically the voice of Zhuge Liang in Ya Boi Kongming)

@@DanteVergil-dm5tc genuinely surprised at the news, tbh. Onosaka Masaya (also did Zhuge Liang, btw) was very attached to both of his roles so this news came off incredibly surprising to me. They still keep Inada Tetsu as Huang Gai and Lu Bu though, also Nakai Kazuya as Xiahou Dun and Dian Wei. I don't 100% understand why but ig creative decision is a creative decision :')

Damn, Lu Bu has a shift of personality now. Instead of keep screaming I AM THE STRONGEST!! Dude is calm, confident and cool af. He drops in not even smug or drop the cringe af line like "ALL SHALL BOW BEFORE ME" or something and get straight to work charging at the army. Dude does drop the line like "Hm, what's wrong weakings? Is this all you got?" but in a very calm and confident manner..

Nice to see you can still try to ruin Lu Bu's day if you try hard enough. When I first tried a DW game without knowing what the heck anything was, my first mission told me to run away from him, and I just went "Nuh uh who the heck even is this poser" and went to fight him instead. I died like multiple times but the one time I managed to route him it was legendary. I've never liked Lu Bu since then and find enjoyment in stomping his face in eversince

Im going to be honest with you Dynasty Warriors games shouldn't cost full price. The games are not built like a full price game. Its the same gameplay for the most part for years. Everytime i play a DW game im never blown away. I always for years had a bigger expectations than what the games ever delivers. I enjoy them but they never feel like they are actually worth full price. I think they should be half price until they actually do something special with them. I've played games that cost less and do things that i expected and beyond. While DW never does. The game looks like a good DW game but nothing really new to really make it stand out. Ill enjoy it for what it is but doubt it will live up to the full price im assuming they're going to charge for it.

I like that the enemy commander has the same damage and skills as us even though he is a non-playable character. Because I am tired of games where the enemy only has damage and hits hard but no strategy. This part is considered well done.

While i am excited, i also worry while i'm okay with the story mode being about this unnamed character, i do hope there is another mode that let's us play all the maps with any character we want like older DW games. the game looks good and looks like a total reboot of the series which after the travesty that was DW9 is needed.. i just hope they don't pull away too heavily from the formula that made these games fun.
