Dynaudio contour 1.8mk 2

Great speakers, I have 2 pairs of these, a contour centre and a Rel Studio 3 as a 5.1 surround system :-) And use just 1 pair for Stereo

I just buy now 1.8 mk2, still don't have verry powerfull amplifire but i have old Rotel and on my Patos where is Morel on top and Seas Prestige like mid/woofer sounds verry good, Dynaudio need power because of coil in bas speakers, in 1.8 coil is 75mm, but in 3.3 model coil is 100mm like on stage speakers :)

Dynaudio's are superb speakers, these are an old model, again an pair that need good amplification with good power and dynamics... sounding a bit thin, as I have the album and music by the Aussie duo you are playing, womans voice would sound incredible

The b&w 801s we're good they dint go as low as these or as clear vocals were nice on b&ws

+bigblueaquarium the 12 "bass was good it was a sealed unit the dynaudio have 3 "voice coils u get a lot of bass from a small cone

These are (either) amazing sounding speakers at low to med volume, or if you need high volume for dance or bass heavy, even though or because they have a lot of bass (e.g. new order or whatever) absolute crap, as they will clip, even with 125w + pc amps. I know, I have them; but am keeping them.

I have Confidence C1 platinum and have accidentally bottomed out on extremely bass heavy material. Really it was my fault for temporarily defeating x-over in my processor when watching a movie, but yeah, I'm starting to wonder if Dynaudio is notorious for "craving lots of power" while at the same time not being able to handle it 😮
