I have heard that if you let it idle in gear with wheels spinning on the dyno the abs light will come on and that kills the torque limit. As I said it's just what I hear!

the black smoke in the beginning is not burnoff, it is the black smoke you get when you punch a direct injected car hen the ionjection timing is not dailed in yet, happens with all direct injection cars, as well as the C7.

I’m not a tuner, but I think the new version of the E99 ECU is even harder to tune since it was installed in the C7 ZR1. Only HPTuners was able to reprogram the ZR1 E99 back there. For the new C8 GM implemented over the air update feature,, probably even hard to tune now.

You’re full of it. GM can’t stop you, from doing anything to car once you own it. All they can do is void any warranty. If manufacturers could do what you said, owners wouldn’t be able to even put aftermarket wheels and suspension on their cars, which this lady has.

It all looks GREAT !! But I am a bit 'concerned' about the air filters/intakes being positioned so they are going to get a LOT of water, dust, and other debris. Would it be better to add a snorkel to move them into a more 'sheltered' position..?

I have a XR6 turbo ford and from a stock engine to after taking it to a performance shop. I have 411rwhp and 480ish torque and all I had done was remap 1000cc injectors 3” turbo back exhaust and new valve springs. If I put a stage 2 intercooler in and dyno again then I’ll be up to between 600-650rwhp. Have y’all ever heard of haltec in Australia for remapping the ecu doc on street outlaws has one in his car just thought it might be an option to try they have lots of experience in twin turbo V8s.

Not what one might consider a self-help book, but offers a great deal of insightful food for thought, is "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius (specifically published by Capstone). It's helped me a great deal, and is a book I would highly recommend! Also, launch mode sounds ROWDY.

I think the torque limiter protects the DCT There's a reason many automakers choose a torque converter for high output applications instead of going dual clutch. You may have to keep torque around stock and tune for high hp / high rpm. The 7 lbs springs should give better results than the 3 lbs springs.

They're probably using the same DCT for the Z06 and maybe even the ZR1, so it may be rated a fair bit higher than this.

So one old school trick is to go to a map with a larger scale while increasing injector size to offset. Tricks the computer into seeing less load while actually increasing fuel availability. One major downfall is no control over timing but maybe the C8's computer is sensitive enough pull timing under load.
