Not really a fair test even though I did enjoy the video some mufflers that don't have packing you don't have to wait for them to become louder over time the dynamax super turbos I had in the past on a 400 for Torino and when the fiberglass started to burn out they became significantly louder almost like a mild glass pack and we're definitely one of the better mufflers I ever had back in the day especially for the versatility and gas mileage and overall engine performance great video though.

I agree. Yah, what was wrong with the Super Turbo's? My ST's always sounded great after they broke-in but were noticeably quieter when new. I checked out those 'Paradox' mufflers. Another gimmick like Spintech or Gibson or Black Widow or these other radical 'do nothing' noise makers. I guess a one location muffler shop in MO. has a more sophisticated flow lab than a multi-million dollar exhaust corp. If you just want noise and no flow, get a set of Flowbastards. ST's flow 73% of a straight pipe. Flowmaster is only 53%. Noise doesn't equal flow. BTW, look at the surface area the exhaust has to flow through on that Paradox after those two flow director wedges. I can see why they call it that. It's a 'paradox' that it even works. Minimally. Some people only care about noise. As long as its loud it MUST work. Same as people who buy cams based on sound.

Hello i have a question. I have a 1987 Toyota 4Runner 22RE EFI and i was wondering what muffler do you recommend? I also bought a performance camshaft for it but have not installed it yet until i find the correct muffler. I want one that's deep throat and aggressive. Do you recommend flow master 40 series, cherry bomb glass pack, cherry bomb m80, or this muffler that you have installed? The signature

I like this muffler. It all just depends on how aggressive or Mild you want the sound. I would say these are in the mid range between the two. I like the fact that they get quieter the faster you go and not louder.

What engine/cam and exhaust setup do you have with the paradox? Looking to swap mufflers on my 68 chevelle. Also what paradox mufflers are those?

Paradox signature series mufflers, 2 1/2 pipes, bullet cam. 383 with two four barrel carbs. .545 intake 533 exhaust gross lift

@@Chugg.Norris I agree. Those Paradox are garbage. Take a look at the guts. Flow restrictors and a 'wall of death'. Those 2 angled flow directors taper down and restrict the throughput flow surface area to 50% of the open pipe. At best. Trash design. I'd love to see their flow bench and sound lab. 'Tuning Fork' technology my azz! As anybody knows, 'tuning forks' only operate or resonate at a very SPECIFIC frequency and harmonic order. Not before or after. And then again ALL engines generate very different and VARIED frequencies. SNAKE OIL! Wonder how long the welds last vibrating from the 'tuning forks'.
