Yes… totally! My sixth grader has come a long way with learning to decode words since she started homeschool in fifth grade. She would just give up and not even try to sound out the words. You explained the why!

My daughter is having difficulty, we just found out she is dyslexic. She's 12 and in 5th grade. How did you get your child reading?

@@lorilewis359 she learned in public school. So, not entirely sure on the process for her.

With kids who have ADHD, autism, and anxiety, I have to say that public schools are not great for any kids that have done neurodiversity. We tried for years… finally Covid forced us to homeschool and it’s so much better for my kids!
