Dude I can't believe they put that much detail into the jump scene at the beginning. A lot of people never learned about the Airborne jump. The Germans knew that the allied forced were going to jump in so they flooded the fields near the drop zone. So the part that they show the guy drowning is pretty real. A good amount of the jumpers drowned because they didn't have the proper safety releases like we do now and couldn't get out.

Fun fact (if vanguard and cold war are in the same universe): the cold wars campaign perseus, is alive (it's 1945, he died in 1983) About 23 years after vanguard ,cold war happens so perseus probably is a villain we might see in this campaign, but younger just like how imran zakhaev (cod 4 villain) was in cold war... but younger
