Thanks for taking the time to post this video. My hose is temporarily wired together and after watching this video, it may be more than temporary!

Thank you. Not sure how I would have managed that job without your video.

Thanks for comment, wasn't going to be doing a video, but when I do something I have never done before I usually photograph every step I take so I can remember how to put it back together again. Once I was done I realised that I had hundreds of photos so I decided to make it into a 2 part video as KZbin wouldn't let me do it in one as it was too long, no idea how that works but at least it has been able to help a few people and I'm grateful for the comments.

This by far the best youtube video on a tear down of the DC41 that I have seen to date. I used it to tear down my DC65 which had a broken red tab on the internal hose. Pretty easy to do once I saw the video. There are 22 screws to take off before you can remove the internal hose. And they have to be removed in a certain order. I took about an hour including watching both videos. Well done.

Awesome video. Very helpful. I like the captioning vs someone talking too much.

Dude! You totally saved my bacon. Up and running with no extra pieces/ parts. Thanks a million

Thank you for watching and commenting. The newer models I've seen can have the hose changed in a matter of minutes I believe, all done from the underside, anyway glad it helped you.

Thank you very much for the video. It was very helpful! I made the following change: I unscrewed the plastic white gear piece from the shell and placed it so it meshed correctly with ball gears. The two shells then came together much easier. I then screwed the white gear piece to the shell.

Man, the white gear is driving me nuts. I actually need to replace the hose above this one (cov hose assembly) where it attaches to the upright handle. I am severely frustrated. I can't seem to remove the hose because I can not tear it down far enough for access. Thanks for this video.
@horatio2604 жыл бұрын
If you are talking about the upright hose that goes up the handle and if you haven't managed it yet, here's a video showing how it is removed, seems reasonably easy... kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6jQnYeVnbaoprc&feature=emb_logo The white gear was a wee bit of a pain to get back in, but once I had a good look at how it fitted I managed it no problem, if memory serves me right it kept falling out when the parts were being put back together. Sorry there's no better pictures of it going back in as I only took the photos to remind me how I took Dyson apart so I could put it back together again. When I was done, that was when I decided that I seemed to have enough photos to put together into these two videos. I had found some bits and pieces online about replacing the internal hose but they stopped short of finishing it properly. If I take anything apart to see about repairs, I take numerous amounts of photos, especially if I have never done it before, like the Dyson. Thanks for your comments.

@@horatio260 Thank you for the reply. I found the exact hose in this video. Just reassembled mine and it still doesn't work. This hose that I was send seems to have too small of a top gasket. I will try again tomorrow. But's heres the video and it is nicely done, as are yours too. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3fPdpSBfc5jndE

Do you know where I can get the red plastic ring with a small screw
@horatio2604 жыл бұрын
The red plastic ring is on the top of the hose, I doubt if it comes separately. If not on the Dyson site then there are other sites that do spares for these vacuum cleaners, mine was from espares. The link to the hose on espares - www.espares.co.uk/product/es1639900 price is presently £15.99 plus p and p.
