My local gym have this in every toilet. It is one of the best equipment there. It is three times cleaner. My hands are totallly dried and feel very clean.

Yes, I understand the differences between the Airblade now compared to an outdated machine in 1993. Why is it so unique and different than the current machines from several manufacturers in Asia? Filters, high pressure air, and antibacterial materials were being used in 1995 - 1998 when I lived abroad.

@mareforza10 Have you actually used one of these before? My local BBQ place has these all over the place, in the restrooms and by the "hand washing" area. You can easily place your hands in the dryer and not touch anything. If anything, you'd touch the yellow band with your wrist and not your hands. This machine is very effective. I only wish more places had these.

Nice work, Mr. Dyson, but... What about user error? I can easily see careless people run their hands on the blades by mistake. By the end of the day in a busy bathroom they'll be dirty very quickly. If the hand-space can be larger, I think it would work great.

@whatabro and then, dyson "invented" the automatic door, using motion detection technology, dyson has created a door that opens when you walk up to it, hands free.

Whatabro the airblade is totally different to the jet towel, 1 the airblade creates a very thin blade of air, not blow it through little holes, its uses dyson's brushless digital motor, has hepa filtration that filters the air what it sucks in unlike jet towel, the airblade doesnt still rely on a heating element like jet towel, all material used on dyson airblade is antibacterial unlike jet towel, the water the it gets rid of off ur hands goes into a iodine chamber where it then dissipates unli

I like how James Dyson trys to take credit for "inventing" a hand dryer that Mitsubishi trademarked in 1993 and are EVERYWHERE in Asia, including the antibacterial coatings. His "inspiration" was traveling and stealing. But... definitely like using these machines over the cheap "evaporating" style gas station blowers. Sucks to have to touch the dirty door handle on the way out, though! Hahaha.

I'm sure it has some sort of filter in the base/stand to purify the air.

Doesn't matter either way when you have to turn the door handle on the way out :)

so where does the air come from that the dyson hand dryer blows out if not from the same bathroom?
@dhughes196916 жыл бұрын
If the old fashioned hand dryer needed to use the air in the washroom to blow hot air on your hands wouldn't the Dyson one still do the same thing? It's also using air from the washroom to blow onto your hands, sure it's a blade of air but it's the same air.

The problem with these are that they are noisy, it would be good if you could have something like this with low noise
