My routine was like this: -630-7:15: yoga with breathing -Morning 7:30 before work : 20 min breathing -8-4 : office work. In between when I can, I used to do 2-3 min exercises. -4:00-4:30 : dance -5:00-6:30- walk in the parks -7:00-8:00 relaxation and meditation -8:00-9:00 Dystonia specific exercises -9:30 sleep When you do this, you’ll automatically remember to do them even when you did not specify a time for an activity. It becomes natural eventually.

I'm trying understand if my situation is matching with yours or not, I sense a slow, strong and constant pushing, pulling (upar, niche, all directions, 'mostly upar though') in my face, especially on the right eyebrow muscle, right cheek muscle, right jaw, ear everything, touching for you is nightmare whereas for me actually touching the face is miracle, all the pushing pulling just melts the moment I touch my face, everything is relaxed, meditation seems helping. Neurologist says it's not bells palsy nor stroke, which i suspected it to be. Did MRI of my brain and found no tumor, no clot not any damage with cranial nerves, so Now I'm leaning more towards oromandibular dystonia, its been more than 2 years and it's affecting my quality of life, we will get over this though...I wish you well akka. We will get over this !!!
@blepharospasm-myjourney2 жыл бұрын
1. Watch at what times you have the sensation like when you’re stressed? Or thinking or talking etc.. 2. Yes. Touching was a nightmare for me. Now touching is helping me stop my cheeck muscles from being pulled up. It can be either way 3.MRI for me was absolutely normal too 4. If meditation is helping, practice it and then do some face muscle exercises to make brain understand the normalcy of the muscles and their positions.

@@blepharospasm-myjourney 1) it's all the time, while working, (I have a bad habbit of multitasking) scrolling social media, youtube, any content consumption; the pushing/pulling is more intense though. And practicing meditation, stillness, break from world, whenever possible, also there is something I came accross called "inner engineering" a spiritual, meditation program/prctice I guess, designed by Sadhguru... Thank you for sharing your journey with us - that is really brave of you! I've been watching a lot of your videos as I've been experiencing symptoms and I've recently started Dr Farias' program. I was wondering if you could elaborate on what you meant when you said upon starting training you noticed how new symptoms popped up one after another. I feel like I've been experiencing the same thing as well...I feel like as I start the training even as one area improves I feel like some other symptom will pop up in another area. Is that just a sign of neuroplasticity and our brains constantly changing? I'm finding it really hard to not be anxious or panic when a new symptom shows up. Could you please share how you were able to deal with that? Thank you from Vancouver, Canada :)

If you did not watch the videos, go ahead, be patient and watch them. Then please come back and ask questions because then, your questions will be more focused with enough knowledge.

In my case I have more spasm when I try to sleep or meditate.Did you ever feel that? How to tackle that?
@blepharospasm-myjourney Жыл бұрын
That’s the mind monkey playing the trick of taking you away from meditation and not letting you sit still. Continue the sit-still-to-meditate or relax and eventually it’ll go away. Mind will understand it has nothing to do but focus and get better. Think of Dystonia-affected-mind as a toddler refusing to listen and act.

@blepharospasm-myjourney2 жыл бұрын
This is totally stress related and medicines do not help in any way. Trust yourself that you can get better with only meditation, keeping calm and relaxing completely. At any time of the day, you should be relaxed and not in anxiety. Even in an earth quake, you should be able to stay calm and think what can be done. This is difficult but possible for stronger minds. So keep meditating and start relaxing. You’ll get better soon.

@@blepharospasm-myjourneyin writers cramp there's involuntary extension and flexion of fingers only during writing.. How to completely recover from it...
@blepharospasm-myjourney9 ай бұрын
Hari Om After 1. Breathing, 2. Relaxation and 3. Meditation, sit in the same place calmly and quietly and try to open close open close fingers. Repeat every day after meditation. This build the nerve path connections and slowly gives you control over your fingers. And there’ll come a time when if they open involuntarily, you will successfully be able to manage them. Do it as many times as possible without using force. Meditation helps do this calmly with less force and ease.

Hari Om I know and understand. For Blepharospasm, sometimes we don’t have any problems when we sit alone. But spasms are triggered only when we are talking or in bright light or eating etc. similarly, the same exercise I mentioned above will help you get control of the fingers while writing. Start with open close of fingers and slowly add writing slow and small with light weight as an exercise
