Having a key for the battery is nice if you take your bike on errands. Lock the bike in front of the store and you are less worried someone would leave with your battery. And the opposite can be said for the seat post! Very easy to steal with the quick release. That's a big drawback for ebike and regular bicycle use for errands and commute, they can't be secured as a car can be and most places won't provide nice convenient lockers or indoor parking (safe.r) for bicycles being e or not.

For foldable bikes it would be nice if could demonstrate how/if it fits in the trunk of the model 3
