Jinzo has a special place in my heart Back when PSV first dropped, my buddy had pulled one and was the only kid in the whole school who used it; and I could never beat him, as he negated all of my traps. If their were a list of bonafide game changing cards, Jinzo would have to be close to the top. It was the earliest example I can remember of one card seamlessly controling the board, flip momentum in your favor simply in one summon, and powerful enough that you looked for impending sets to find solutions against him. The dude set the bar for boss monsters and almost no matter what the deck build, it was worth adding him in it.
@giftedfox47483 жыл бұрын
Best card to add to make Jinzo worth in the TCG is to create a field spell card that turns all spells on the field into traps (they even act as traps so you have to set them down first) expect for this field card. Draw backs is that it only activates if you have a card with Jinzo in its name on the field and if you don't have one then you cannot active traps yourself. Kind of like Secret Village of the Spellcasters field card, where the card is amazing but can bite you if you're not careful.

I remember when Jinzo first came out. He instantly power crept cards like Summoned Skull because back then it was good due to having high ATK, but Jinzo was just so much better, plus it had one of the most powerful effects in completely shutting off all Traps. It made cards like Mirror Force completely useless and due to how limited the card pool around the time was, Jinzo was extremely difficult to deal with once he hit the board. Cards like Raigeki and Dark Hole didn't really help because of Monster Reborn, and if the opponent was smart, they would hold on to it and wait to see if you had the out to Jinzo so they could use Reborn to bring him back.

@@JuwanBuchanan a two card combo that makes you go -2 at that it can be a haymaker that effectively ends the game on the spot, even if jinzo doesn't give you lethal that turn, but it's a _lot_ of resources to dump into something that still dies to a lot of outs. hell, it can die to a trap if judgment's sitting in the backrow

Even back then I rather cheat out Jinzo with revival then Actually tribute it or use tribute engines like Treeborn and Maybe Dandylion. Was nice lockdown in combo with Monarchs. Asuming i dont brick.

He was sooooo good, turn one play, summon 4 (or lower) play “Double summon” and then tribute summon for jinzo, however....my opponent always had an answer with spells.

Yes, a time in game when you had backrow that you had to respect and not wonder how many negates does your opp have in their hand
