The voice is world class, he was robbed at the Cardiff singer. He should have won the Main Prize at Cardiff - they sacrificed voice over glitz & glamour.He is totally ALL voice - it's all in his voice - not a showy performance like many others. Superb.

This is a remarkable voice - the high notes are stunning. There are competition winners and there are great careers in opera; they rarely intersect. He will have the great career. (I would have to say, unfortunately, that he did not win because many of the pitches were not what Verdi wrote.)

Согласен с вами,Херля пел похожей техникой,но разве это плохо?Грудной регистр у него работает просто для краски он дополнительно подмешивает горло,но основа то правильная. Другой вопрос,а хорошо ли его слышно в зале? Ведь горловые мышцы здорово голос осаживают, он становится менее полетным. Поэтому тут наверно каждый сам выбирает что ему удобнее. Хочу как нибудь вам свою запись выслать,чтоб вы послушали,интересно ваше мнение.

This is the best voice ever in Cardiff singer of the world , shame on jurors , ignorants and miserable people , all of them medium class singers and musicians , knowing nothing about opera , they are blinds if they can not identify a diamond , his voice is out of this world , exceptional by all meanings and is all about nature , it is a gift , anyone of the rest got it in Cardiff history , no Terfel , nor Dvorovstosky

I´ve listened to most of his singing. A very dark dramatic baritone or even a bass-baritone with Verdian capacity. Open throat, lots of chest voice, lots of energy. His high notes are open as well, showing a lot of courage although he needs to watch his vocal chords by covering those high notes. Too much chest and big volume made a few of his tones in Prince Igor a little flat. His lower register will only get better if he negotiates his higher register more wisely with less pushing. Definitely Scarpia. The big guys in Verdi like Amonasro, Rigoletto, Falstaff. He should have more power below the C as well. Nonetheless routine is the best coach. Great voice and presence.

Его нижний регистр станет лучше только в том случае, если он будет вести переговоры со своим верхним регистром более разумно и с меньшими усилиями. Определенно Скарпиа. Большие парни в Верди, такие как Амонасро, Риголетто, Фальстаф. У него также должно быть больше мощности ниже C. Тем не менее рутина - лучший тренер. Отличный голос и присутствие.

Rather nice? You might want to listen again. I haven't heard a Verdi baritone this exceptional SINCE MacNeil and Cappuccilli. Very young, but a most worthy successor.
