Comprehensive and highly useful. 1. After non-auxiliary 'have', question tags with 'have' and 'do' are both possible in British English. ('Do' is normal in American English) Eg. He has a great time, hasn't/doesn't he? We use 'it' in question tags to refer to 'nothing' and 'everything' Eg. Nothing can happen, can it? We use 'they' to refer to 'nobody, no one, somebody, everybody, etc. Eg. Nobody phoned , did they? Somebody wanted a drink, didn't they? Who was it? With 'used to', we use 'didn't' in the tag. Eg. You used to work here, didn't you? 'Non- negative question tags are sometimes used after affirmative sentences as responses to something that has been said, like 'attention signals'. Eg. So you're getting married, are you? How nice!

a question tag that fits all type of questions..... and that's RIGHT? he is your brother, right? he is not your brother, right? grammatical correctness set aside,,, this conveys the idea... (after-all language is for one simple reason - that's communication)
