The company was originally formed as Tianjin Watch Factory in January 1955 with four craftsmen on order of the People's Republic of China government. In 1990, the Tianjin Watch Factory was awarded the status of a national company, and in 1992, the Tianjin Seagull Corporation was founded.

Bro, the one you bought is not the official 1963. A lot of Chinese companies have patented the movement to produce it which is why you get a lot more varieties, different styles, swan neck regulators etc.. The official, authentic one cost around 600 USD and comes without a transparent case back.

Swan neck has better regulation. It is not always the case. But for Seagull, I will go for a swan neck. And a 21 jewel variant.

Kindly tell how much total amount you paid as customs duty for import your seagull watch. In video you informed 2500 Rs only paid as customs duty . Pls explain What procedure you done for it. As my knowledge 42% is the customs duty has to pay for import a watch.
