Nice, Young. Wish I could have informed you of the misprint B natural near the end before recording. Very impressive playing, though.

Absolutely wonderful! I'm working on this piece right now and it feels a little bit like going uphill with a wheelbarrow with a tonne of bricks in it, but I'm confident :P

I played french horn for a little while before switching to flute. I have so much respect for horn players...I tried for six months to get one decent tone out of that instrument, only to sound like a dying elephant. Anyone who can make such beautiful music with this instrument has my highest respect! And the piece is, I've heard, one of the hardest for french horn. Amazing!

Superb!! Reminds me of my old teacher, Mr. Cerminaro, who played this Bozza live in NYC dozens of times. Fine pianist, too!

I’m over here in highschool just like “I wanna be this good.” Hopefully I might be able to play this for solo contest once I get my braces off. That was a beautiful performance. Well done!

can i ask if you're able to play with braces
@MrSmorris3142 жыл бұрын
@@raayney typically you can play with braces, but it can be hard in the higher range especially for the first chunk of time having them. I took that time to improve my low range a great deal. Then when you get the braces off it's a bit hard again for a month or so just because you have to readjust and get used to the feel of the mouthpiece again. But it is all doable :)

2:57 I hear the gregorian chant inspiration there. I think it might be an actual one, but I can't quite put my finger on it.
@YoungKimHorn9 ай бұрын
Hello! The Gregorian chant Bozza quoted is “victimae paschali laudes” which was normally sung during Easter.

wonderful playing musically! what equipments, horn and mouthpiece, do you use?
@YoungKimHorn4 жыл бұрын
Kuo-Hua Chen Thank you for your kind words! I use Keith Berg’s double horn and Laskey 80Fe
@kuo-huachen21894 жыл бұрын
@@YoungKimHorn thanks! I have Laskey 80Ge. Is 80Fe actually wider than 80Ge or just deeper?
@YoungKimHorn4 жыл бұрын
Kuo-Hua Chen I believe it is only deeper cup. The inner diameter 80 stays the same.
