Skip, thanks so much for your F-16 afterburner videos, this and the subsequent ones. After watching, I did my install in an hour so, with no missteps. Much appreciated.

Thanks Skip. The way the power connector comes is very misleading considering what they give you for a voltage range. I have mine working now and I’m glad you mentioned it powering up with just the red wire, I was going to ask you if yours did that because mine did. Thanks again! “Build, Fly, Crash, Repeat!”👍

Not in this case. The light ring is not in the way of exhaust. Got them at FanJets usa .com

I used generic whistles from football whistlers on Amazon. Dont know if its gonna fit the VIPER

I would use a female balance plug remove all pins but the outside Then saw your wires on those pins so you can plug and unplug safely

Hey skip can i mount the whistles the same place on my 90mm f16 and do I have to use all three whistles or just two.

Experiment. try different depths for a few different tones and use all three. Recommend 10-2-6 o:clock for placement.

Here's a question for you which horizon hobby won't seem to answer. If I remove my sub fins will it affect the flight? I belly land my f16 and its ripping those things out, and so I have to keep glueing them back on.

My bet is that it woild fly jut fine in safe. May be a touch twitchy without having the added stability of those fins.

After having thought about this issue and looking at mine I figure you could probably cut at an angle half of them off so they're on a belly landing they would be landing almost flushed but slightly above the surface of the belly at least you'd have still some of the stabilization that they provide. @@bigg_survivor_8876 Yeah, Sorry bout that. Gooniac33 makes and sells afterburners (in-runners only) for a reasonable price. Check him out. I have several of his and they are WAY better and last longer. Mine had problems after 15-20 flights. LED's burning out or just a color on them. Good Luck and Happy Flying Bro. Skip

It's the same kit. But don't know how it would work on the viper unless you can modify the thrust nozzle area to fit???

@@Farmermanrc no my friend I think the elevator is split like the Viper it's not a full flying stab. And all you have is aileron's. May be possible to mix it in your radio but I don't know how that would work with the as3x or safe. Better off to just fly it the way it is things flies great just the way it is. I have an install video on how I actually did this you'll see how I cut the nose cone and was able to lay the ring of LEDs flush with the foam as not to obstruct the tube, then the nozzle just slid right over and got glued in place
