Another job well done. I hope maybe you can find more episodes of Extreme Dinosaurs that use the instruments from the Percussion 1 patch as well as The Terrible Thunderlizards? There's plenty there.

I didn't know the Albert theme was done with the Proteus/2. Also in many of the other filmscore examples of the 90s and early 2000s the Proteus/2's sounds came across as realistic at that time. It's cool to also hear it used in ways that are not as cheesy. I think BFG probably used an Emulator or an Emax as it was made in 1989 and the Proteus/2 came out in 1990. I may have already said this before but the Emu Proteus/2 is still usable for karaoke backing tracks like song covers and public domain music such as Christmas songs, nursery rhymes and even classical music which is what I use my Proteus/2 for and hope to upload some of my work I did using my Proteus/2 at some point in the not too distant future.

Yeah, I think I read somewhere that The BFG featured the Emulator III since it’s sounds would later be featured in the Proteus line. And I think it’s so cool how old school synths and sound modules were featured in stock music and karaoke covers. There’s a cover of Not Easy Being Green from The Muppets that featured the original Kurzweil piano sound featured on the K250 to K2500 before the Triple Strike Piano was introduced in 1995 and featured on the K2500 and Micropiano.

It's a shame stock music libraries no longer accept music done with sound modules like the Proteus/2 or anything that "lacks realism" by today's standards. I do also use Kontakt sample libraries and free Spitfire libraries such as Labs and BBCSO but I suck at making midi instruments sound "convincing". If the bar wasn't so high I would consider composing stock music to earn money as I'm currently unemployed. Also stock music has to sound contemporary which is hard for me since I no longer listen to chart music or watch any TV programs although I have seen plenty of adverts on KZbin that probaly use stock music but I prefer how advert music was done in the 90s because the Proteus/2 was certainly used on many TV adverts back in the 90s and even well into the early 2000s!

Yes the music that I used the Proteus/2 on will be good, I have had a few requests to do nursery rhymes with it and even a request to use it on my cover of All you need is love by the Beatles. I'm also working on my own arrangement of Auld Lang Syne which will be posted on New Years Eve which will also use a few sounds from the Proteus/2 including the flute, tubular bells and snare rolls plus other sounds from the Roland U-220 and even a few real instruments and various sound effects both recorded and midi.

I already added your drumroll video on here. And thanks for the Camp Lazlo suggestion. Now I know what scene had it. And btw, I already added a few BabyTV shows to the video, but I don’t know of any others that use it and if I don’t know, then I can’t be bothered. (No offense, it’s just what it is) And I already used Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas from Mr. Hankey’s Christmas Classics, so I’m already good on that.
