Another great backing track. I don't know if I'm the only one, but knowing the chord progression used would help me a lot.

I need to say this is the first time of my life i comment on something and i am 28yrs old with 15years of listening to backing track! Your creation and i are just made for each others! Seriously keep on rocking like this because you made me play it again and again for 5hours straight with the biggest smile of my life and as soon as it started the first time my fingers took control without hesitation on a scale mode and style i tried for the first time across the neck of my guitar like i knew it by heart! Thx for making the best metal backing track i heard in my 15years of BK track play along! Thank you for your help at making me a better guitar player with larger undrrstanding of music!

Loads of cool scales work over this. Em, E phrygian and it's dominant form, B diminished, B altered (Super Locrian) double harmonic major, Am and the Hirajoshi scale. Not that I can use them all that well but they all kinda work :)

geronimo020280 E phrygian is a mode of A minor. You basically play the same notes as A minor , but your tonic is an E. E-F-G-A-B-C-D-E.

@OljeiKhan9 жыл бұрын
Mika Tarkela You can also raise the 4th of your harmonic minor to use a d# instead of a d. Just saying in case you didn't know , you can create a whole lot of exotic melodies that way. :)

It's E phrygian ? I don't get it, it would mean that it's the third position after E major basic position right ? But it doesn't sound good to me. Playing E minor sounds good. I really don't get it at all

+geronimo020280 I found that using E Phrygian Dominant (Sharpened third) or A Harmonic Minor (Sharpened 7th) worked best for me. Hope that helps.

Hey is there anyone that can answer me this question please? I tried this backing track but it doesn't seem to fit with the pattern I was given (e phrygian). My guitar teacher gave me a paper with all the modes and one pattern for each. In this case it was the phrygian pattern on the 12th fret. But doing a little bit of research I realized he gave me the wrong pattern for the wrong frets in every single mode he did! What it appears he did is that he gave me the first pattern of the phrygian mode ( the one starting on the second fret) and basically told me to play it on the 12th fret. Which doesn't make much sense I think since it alters the notes. It appears he did this for every mode (took the first pattern on the second fret and put it wherever). What do I do and did I interpret this wrong? Can somebody help me please?
@ErikDGD8 жыл бұрын
+Bung The Booce Play E phrygian on 12th fret, this scale have the same notes of C major/A minor, but you need to play F(2th minor of E Phrygian mode) to have a sound of this mode. Try to use A Harmonic minor too. I hope you can understand that , because engish isn't my native language. :)
@tfos9938 жыл бұрын
+ErikDGD Mine isn't native as well, it's ok. Thanks.

@TheGodofcore7 жыл бұрын
No, Phrygian is a mode ..... you can play in C major or even A minor over this. This link helps a little to understand modes, then you will see that E is the phrygian mode or 3rd position of C major. www.guitarworld.com/jazz-guitar-corner-learn-all-seven-major-modes-easy-way
