You're right, the more those bikes get upgrades the heavies they get, every year we are getting closer and closer to dirt bike territory. At the end they might become less fun, look at the RTR, it may not be for every rider but everybody can and will have fun on it. I do not want my E-moto to feel like a 450, the Varg is here for that, and that is another market.

@@xxtrengt8871 Exactly, in my community golf carts are allowed in most areas and the XXX blends in well enough that I have never been pulled over or even questioned driving to work or Publix. However, I stay off the sidewalks and am also not pulling wheelies, etc. With a Varg, etc. I feel that it might be more of a problem riding around and pulling up to a bike rack to lock it up.

Like what's his face mentioned near the end of the video, the gearbox for a bonus point to the Talaria. You didn't add that, which you should because it is a big deal. Top speed vs torque. Wouldn't that be a draw? E-ride beats the Talaria in a short race, but the Talaria would pull away in a longer race due to the higher max speed. DRAW.

Forget zinc batteries we need either the p50b Molicel specced by these companies. I think Stark went with Molicel P45b for the MX and to get the 7.2kwh on the EX will be going to Molicel P50B's. Or maybe the tabless 4-4.5ah cells available to the DIY market already. Bak 45D, Eve 40PL etc etc the internal resistance and non-build up of heat vs the tabbed competitors (Samsung 50S) is huge. Per each cell at 20-30amps continuous pull there can be a 10-20 degree celcius difference with both cells tested at the same ambient temperature.

Honestly it’s mostly opinion other than specs/battery specs etc.. I first had a 2023 Surron Light bee, sold that got a 2024 ERide Pro SS 2.0, sold that and bought a Talaria MX5. MX5 was my favorite by FAR out of those three. But I just sold my MX5, and now have a Surron Ultra Bee, hands down the best bike I’ve ever owned.

I love my MX5 & have no regrets buying it ! The reinforced frame is a huge plus to me so I’m not worried ever about it cracking. I do think the MX5 sits a little forward still, even after upgrading the handlebars so I’m hoping to fix that with a new wheel set !

Have yourselves or any other distrubutor in the US partnered with Talaria to offer it with an 81/82v battery and the ebmx controller out the box with a warranty? Electron Cycles here in the UK do just this. The price is £4.8k MX5 standard and £7k with a 81v50ah. Warranty intact with Electron. So £2.2k for the X9000 V2 and upgraded battery but you obviously don't have the original battery or controller to sell to claw some money back. Thoughts???

The main point is though, the warranty stays in tact with the new parts and the bike comes new with the parts in them, you don't have to find a buyer for the original battery and controller.

The build quality also looks suspect on the Altis. Talaria would have the perfect package for off road riders if the MX5 had around 18 KW

9:27 when he mentions going 62 and only going 54 is kinda crazy because I’ve rode on a flat bike path going 66 with the e ride speedometer. Assuming it’s a couple mph inaccurate u could argue they go the same speed, or that the e ride goes a little faster, ultimately I think it comes down to rider weight and environment. Keep in mind I’m 6’2 and 160lbs. Anyways great video I remember asking for this comparison in the comment section awhile back and eventually buying the new 3.0 instead of mx5 thanks to you guys.

also, the e ride has a 58t sprocket where as the mx5 has a 48t, if you drop the 3.0s sprocket down to 54t as i think the bike is to jumpy, you should be able to hit 70 consistently.

I think the low temps are playing a roll in the power and speeds. Other videos on both the SR and 3.0 in warmer climates show higher speeds even gps confirmed

Doesn't exist my friend. You are in e-bike with pedals territory at that range. Either get a Photon mid drive, bbshd mid drive and try to get it paired with a BAC 855 with say a removable 21ah battery. High Voltage electric channel on here is a good starting point. The hard part is finding a good shop to source these parts and fit them for you.

Hey Rob! Thanks for watching the video's. You cannot run an EXT Fork unless you also get a new front wheel and brake on the mx5. And no I don't know of any drop crowns that work with the mx5 stock fork. You can run the ext rear shock, or the new Rfloxa shock we sell is amazing honestly! And so inexpensive.

Seems like a no brainer honestly, the only thing up to standards on the ventus is the powertrain and front fork. Sr has good suspension too but also better brakes. Only problem with the sr seems to be the throttle tune which will get patched soon.

It all comes down to personal preference but surely with the Talaria being better built and more reliable that is definitely worth 2 points not just the 1 you gave it ! You gave the Eride the point for the better light but you had changed it anyway like you say it needs changing on the Talaria,moot point. You gave 2 points to the Eride for more power but only 1point to the Talaria for being the faster bike,had you let the drag race carry on the Talaria wins it. Not sure if the Eride is belt drive or not but if it is then the Talaria should have had 2 points for its gearbox as anybody will agree if they have ever suffered with belt issues on a bike .

I don't agree that gearbox is a big deal, cuz belt is easier to modify, so 5:5 i have to say for belt and gearbox ,another important thing you didn't mention is range, eride 3.0 has a much longer range than mx5, just test it you will know the difference

Well there's no reason to modify a gearbox because it just works better. No risk of snapping belts out on a ride either. We didn't have a range section because numbers that manufacturers give aren't ever right so we just said it has a much larger battery and gave it two extra points.

@Mike_The_Bike_591 yes I know, always take the bike that's in your interest, quite frankly I'd rather the mx5 at this point because of price and build quality i have a surron right now with 2330wh battery vs the mx5 has 2900wh so it's 25% more than the ron and has over 2x the power does 96km/h and actually reads that speed of 60mph real speed. Better parts n shit tho the 72v 50ah is better, i don't believe it can fast charger as a according to my calculations based on the mx5 regen the bms allows for a larger in rush of current there fore with another charger i could charge it even faster than it already does🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋

What was not mentioned is that the talaria gives you great power thru the range, down towards the end of the batteries charge. From what I’ve heard the e ride has significantly less power as it gets used up. Go talaria!

The short answer is no we are shafted because basically america has about 10 x the potential customers vs any single country in Europe or UK. The MX5 is £4800 in the UK and $4800 in the US. 1 to 1 dollar to pound lol. MX5 might sell 5 thousand units in the US in a year for example, the UK might sell 500 units. Every time you enter a country you have to have a different distrobuter and support shop for returns/warranty etc, America combines 10 European countries worth of potential customers all in one country. What can we do :(
