I have just bought this double corn and it DOES NOT pup up a size 6 ronnie/spinner rig. I have tried on a gardner ronnie and a korda ronnie both size 6s and they do not pop up and lift the rig up like they are meant to fished like in this video. the hooks just lie flat on the surface and that is not how you fish a pop up rig.

Yes ya right mate I use a size 8 ronnie and it pops up with the second largest corn

Great idea but tried on various hook sizes from dernnan barble hooks size 5 and 6 and also size 5 stiff riggers all sank to the bottom.

@@chrisplaystation3853 Hi Chris, sounds like there could be something wrong with them. Could you email as at support@esp-carpgear..com with the issue? If you need a quick solution then heating up a bait drill and drilling out one of the pieces and putting cork in will give loads of buoyancy. The largest corn should easily pick hooks up to 5 and bigger in some cases?

What I dont get is how a flavour can prnetrate something which is made to not absorb water ?? Surely flavourings will wash off as soon as it hits the water . They look really good though , I currently fish a water with crays so will look at these , be good where diving birds are concerned too .

Hi Matt - most plastic baits will take on a very small amount of flavour, probably better if it liquid is thinner. I think it is fair to say a lot of people will be using plastic baits over the top of existing real bait, so the fish are essentially already feeding and zoned in. There are many ways to fish around trays and the time off year will alter it, but a great start is using crumbed boilie or a cheaper alternative, as well as corn, fishing a low lying plastic bait over the top. ESPCarpgear yeah I will be giving plastc baits ago anyway , the krays can be savage , they seem to live popups even more , I thought popups on multi rigs would put them off but not lol .

I think fake corn looks naff stacked on top of each other like that. Too uniform. I slightly off set mine, or twist them at a angle against each other. It looks more natural IMHO.
