Didn’t suck at all. Good job. Glad you ended with monotonous woods. Probably the hardest areas to scout. Just did it the other day and do exactly what you talked about. Give me something deer, line rubs, scrapes, food sources. Anything to help me follow them back to bed. Lots of walking, stopping and thinking. Great practice and exercise. Overall not happy with that area and probably won’t hunt next season but always great practice and always worth the scout. 👍

Great video! I'm fairly new to hunting and new to scouting maps, very informative and helpful. In my opinion, you achieved your goal of making a video different than everyone else I've watched!

Cover type changes are a big key in "monotonous woods".

Hey man, great video. Thanks for the info. I am very novice to hunting… did not grow up hunting, just started getting into it a few years ago. I would love to learn more about how to scout public land. I’m in the thumb area of MI, Saint Clair county to be exact. Any other advice or good sources of information you recommend?

Awesome man! Id check out Dan Infalts stuff. He's got some great info on scouting pressured land. I know I have some other videos on scouting but hopefully I'll be making more soon!

Great video. I'm newer to hunting and trying to learn off public land. Do you offer any e-scouting one on one's? Via zoom or whatever.

I have people send me spots fairly frequently that want my take on. Just shoot something over on the facebook page and I'd be happy to help you out.

Look into a muzzleloader most areas you can use it during firearm season and it has its own season also (Michigan). More opportunities when the firearm season ends and ALOT of hunters leave the woods for the season.

Why do deer like the south facing slopes?

I'm guessing more sun. Maybe not as good during early bow season, but something to think about in the colder months.
