What’s happening in this E.T movie clip?
Elliot (Henry Thomas from Legends of the Fall) is in science class studying frogs. He finds it cruel to lock them in jars, and so he frees them all, causing chaos in the classroom. Most of his classmates help him free them, but others are scared. Meanwhile, E.T. is at Elliot's house watching TV. He comes across a romantic scene that moves him. Elliot's mom comes home from shopping and she's so busy she doesn't even realize that E.T. is in the kitchen with her, despite her daughter trying to draw attention to him.

What’s the E.T movie about?
An unidentified flying object lands in the middle of the night near Los Angeles. A few aliens on an exploration mission emerge, but one of them ventures a little too far into the city. He then discovered human civilization. Elliot (Henry Thomas from Legends of the Fall) rescues and hides him as US government agents search for him. Elliot and E.T. form a deep friendship and with his siblings he helps him get home.

This scene is one of the best. I'd probably take it over the flying bicycle. Elliot saves the frogs because of his personal friendship with ET. After all the stories you hear about aliens doing terrible experiments on people that are ubducted, it strikes a heavy contrast. Arguably has a vegan message too if you want to read into it. The girl is ataid to have a frog get near her foot but once her and Elliot kiss, she has three of them at her feet and she doesn't care. I also like how she turns the shoe so you can assume she's blushing. They did a lot in that shot. Music is 10/10 when it transitions from Casablanca era to the modern musical score.

Guess the kiss must have calmed her down, too. Like you said, she was panicking at first, but after they kissed, she didn't have a care in the world when they were on her feet again.
