Thank you for highlighting the Terra Scorcher. Back in the 80's, this was my first Tamiya that I bought with my own money and built. I was probably 12 or13 years old. It just about brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for your amazing dedication to vintage RC's

It looked like the Terra Scorcher really handled the track well , and those jumps were pretty impressive at the beginning. I guess I’m going to have to order the A5 parts and build my Scorcher now . Cool video .

Good video and overview. Loved it. Just build a Scorcher. Love it too. Ahh, not sure it would make a tremendous difference switching to LiPo (if it’s 6S NiMH vs 2S LiPo). Just a bit more ‘punch’ and it keeps the voltage up better in the long run. A freshly charged NiMH can actually be faster (due to more voltage) the first few seconds. Anyways, great run and overview.

I have recently switched over to Lipo Batts. I use either Venom or Proteck 2s

Nice. Love my Terra. I Upgraded my wheels to Egress rims to give me better tyre options.

Schmacher blue block tires are good for 4 wheel drive rc car because I got them on my vantage and there the best tires I have had.

Goose Bumps are a great tire and work very good in most loose to powdery conditions. By now you already know that. (just looked at the date on this video). To tame a super-fast servo use the steering Expo. Negative on your Flysky will tam the beast.

The radio change you made will make it more responsive. When I had the fly sky every now and then it would not respond and I’d go off the track I thought it was just me but switching to futaba it was like night and day

Not sure if there are any 2.0 tires made really, probably easiest too swap to 2.2 inch rims & tires. I know crawlers use 1.9 inch but they are rather narrow & small compared too 2.2 inch buggy rears.
@RCRetro4 жыл бұрын
Marcus60661 I think you are right. Probably going to switch over to 2.2 top force star dish wheels so I can run better tires. Thanks for the comment.

I am running a Manta Ray and I recommend upgrading a 4wd buggy to a Proline Hole Shots (soft of super soft) tire. it's what most of the guys in this region run on dirt.
@tallguygaming4094 жыл бұрын
Do they make hole shots in 2.0?
@MikeLouie_TKD4 жыл бұрын
@@tallguygaming409 oh sorry forgot the Thundershot family has smaller wheels. I upgraded to the star wheels front and rear which are larger. I believe Schumacher mini spikes should fit the Terra Scorcher wheels if you stick with that size.
Yeah i told him to just go 2.2 and get goose bumps all around. I have them on my baja champ and it has alot of grip on my track.

Could you kindly send a link for the suspension brace. That looks simple and effective. I saw others out there but this one looks easiest.

Unfortunately, the one I got was off eBay and I do not see them on there... However, I did also buy this one. Never installed it. Heard good things about it but its not as easy to install. It requires taking apart your front end as opposed to the other one that I purchased which just slips right on. www.ebay.com/itm/144010388766?hash=item2187b0251e:g:F60AAOSw0XxgeSpK&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAsIqK49D6eWUQzyd%2F0eywywsGDKiOuDTy3q%2BZrNpawNXmdrb77ZVfgaPJ2IqXU61wDiceRzJPGNlrvU9cWSvtJVVAS0g%2FxnXvInQlnIW5Qc%2FKR6%2ByFLJcefu28x8SpitllsPToffTgp0nYQdlSTVKhmcVTK0XXkBxlLDAhuO3b%2F8xD7PQGN4JriRJBcg2xiQdVVn%2FR2jud%2B5ZTGkrlZRz%2FCADTnT5YynWKLyAPsM9EcdK%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR-rwhqKSYQ
