In this video I explain and show how I plan to restore the lime plaster. What type of lime product I use and why.
I also caught on camera how my knee locked itself in a painful position which led to going to the ER and having a surgery a month later. So this video is recorded over a span of almost two months now.
My local supplier is www.malarkalk.se.

It's better now but I really have to build up more strength especially in my legs and knees. Working on it, I am literally in pain right now from working out in the gym.

Please wear a suitable dust mask, and watch your hair in the mixer. Great work.

Умничка. Только мешки со смесью режь поперек посередине. Так у тебя будет две аккуратных открытых половинки . Поднимать намного легче. Береги себя! Волосы лучше завязывай платком - техника безопасности.

A question on lime….why did you decide to use NHL opposed to Hotlime or lime putty? Was it NHL 2 you used for the plaster?

I haven't heard of those terms or products before, so that's the easy answer 😆 but after doing a google I found this page www.traditionalbuilding.com/opinions/hydrated-vs-hydraulic-lime. But when it comes to choosing NHL before HL lime it's because of the flexibility of the material (less prone to cracks because it's not as hard as the HL) and because it's diffusion open, it breathes. I used both 3,5 and 2 for the plaster depending on what I found in the stores. I also use 5 for the chimney but was recently adviced to start using 3,5 instead (it's better to have the flexible properties).
