This is going to sound pathetic but you’ll never know what this little video has done for me. I’m 15 months into being single after 20 years and I was near in tears at the thought of one more thing going wrong when my dishwasher stopped working. It was one of those jobs I would always have just delegated to my bloke. I was moments away from calling a dishwasher mechanic when I thought - harden up woman - surely there’s a video online that you can check out. Well I did, it was yours and I fixed it easily in minutes! Thank you. So silly but I feel so empowered by this one small act and it is a genuine ‘moment’ in my new single life. What made me even prouder was when my daughter got home from school to me tackling and succeeding at this, she was so proud of me. Actually asked who this new mummy was!!! 😜🤣

Excellent video, thanks for making it. A particularly good shot of the sump and impeller considering how awkward it is to get in there. Turned out with mine it was a button! Had been in there a long time as the edges were worn off and we had been getting intermittent E25 errors so it must have been self clearing previously. This time the impeller was jammed solid. I used the turkey baster which works well up to a point for sump dregs but small amounts would run back in as you lifted it. For final dregs I used a hypodermic syringe with a flat ended needled ( I use them normally for applying small amounts of oil to awkward to reach machine parts) which works well. I do have one with a flexible tube on the end which would have been better but I couldn't find it at the time. Thanks again, that saved me time and over a £100 🙏🏻

Thank you for taking the time to produce and post this very helpful video. Following your instructions, I found a chicken bone about the size of a large bobby pin wedged into the impeller. I didn't even have to take off the cover as half of this bone was sticking out into the well space underneath the filter. It looked like almost half of a small wishbone. What I want to know is, how did an object that large ever make it through the very fine mesh of that filter? Well, clearly it did not. But edging its way down along the side of it and then into the space under the filter seems equally impossible. And yet clearly, somehow, it happened! Anyway, I don't know if I'll ever solve that mystery but thank you so much for saving me from an expensive service call.

Who needs a mechanic and a huge repair bill when you've got you tube and great videos like this! It took me literally 10 minutes to drain, find the culprit, reassemble and get to washing dishes! And the best part is I didn't have to listen to my husband bitch about having yet another thing to fix! Only thing I would add is that when you grip the filter assembly you have to twist it to get it to release (on my machine anyway). Other than that GREAT video.
