I had that same metal line blow on me while bleeding the coolant after my clutch put back in...same spot near the weld, great idea...Our Canadian cars rust, its inevitable. it sucks trying to replace while the car is back together, anyhow Good job man!

Brings back nightmares when the stupid plastic “T” connector on the cooling octopus broke - or more likely was broken by the previous owners mechanic causing the car to overheat. Removal and reinstallation of that cooling octopus with the engine and transmission in, and the car on jack stands is not a fun day. I got it in but many swear words were shouted.

Oh snap! The shoutout, too. Can you wrap those in a heat shield sleeve? In case they are close to the exhaust?

I got some wrap for the header, I think there is a heat shield in between as well. I could maybe also use the wrap to bundle these two lines together.
