Actually that's pretty common, well except for the giant window looking into the shower. Most hotels have a small "convenience" package that they overprice.

you say that rooms on different floors being different different is really weird. i went to paris with my school and the rooms had 4-6 people in them. some had 2 showers with now wall between them same with the toilets. the room next door to me and my friends was COMPLETLEY different!
