e39 rear window regulator 2 style comparison

at the turn of 03/99 E39 rear window regulator took on a different style. it is possible to fit older style regulators in place of the newer style ones, and vice versa. now you can go for that cheaper regulator, eventhough it is a different style.

WARNING! The information provided here is not correct. The New Style will NOT fit a PRE 03/99 "old style" car. A POST 03/99 car can handle both styles.
