Hi Moa,No we don't have a farm but did have 12 acres full of trees but sold them.Jerry and I have about as much yard as you do now but the trees surround sides of our house and in the back their away pretty far from house at edge of yard .We also have 1 peach tree,and 1 pear tree if u lived close by we would share our blessings. Our amish friends have taught us much about plants,land,growing vegies in garden.

Mia, please consider checking your foundation for any holes or broken mortar (as small as the diameter of a regular pencil) which may be used by field mice to winter inside your home. Ugh, it's the worst feeling to hear the movement of the unwelcome critters in the walls, especially at night. Love the cabinet too! It's a shame the cabinet couldn't be left in its natural wooded state on the outside (maybe a flat shellac?) and painted white on the inside. Whatever you do will be lovely.

Oh there are holes everywhere! Some severe. I want to consult a professional on how to deal with these first...there is one corner where I hear them, it drives the cats crazy 😄🙈

Loving the videos. Started with the compilation and now watching them individually. You mentioned you couldn’t reach the apples. Not in the spirit but an old plastic soda bottle cut the bottom off put a wooden pole through the neck and tape securely. Then you can place the open end under the apple and knock. It will fall into the bottle. I peel and core them place on parchment paper in layers and freeze them. Red cabbage and apple at Christmas was lush.

A job well done Moa.yummy home made apple juice .We have 37 apple trees making apple dumplings,applesauce, apple pies in freezer,apple snitz,apple bars.and then sell the rest for 2.00 a box.Your outside yard is really looking great it's just amazing all the work you have already worked on..Moa your beautiful on the inside and out .keep on persevering one of these days you will be able to sit back an admire all the work you put into your place as well your friends volunteering.take care.

Well this area is on my to do list. I only half installed the cat door. It was to narrow and the outer part didn't screw on to the inner part so I have to install something in between first. But also this door is a modern mdf door. The original was double and with 6 glass panes on each door blade. I would love to install something like that back in the future. But first I will probably just paint it all white, back like it was when it was built in 1920.

Around here in Caledon, Ontario they picked all of the apples - even those off of the ground, etc. and everything goes into juice - I suppose the worms add some sort of nutrient
