Paint the RX7 in Vx220 switch. It’s a mega colour and changes depending on light. Proper different! Great explaining on the paint even if you kept saying binder which made me think of an app on Jon’s phone 😂 great work looks bloody lovely ❤

If you’d covered the bonnet in flash tape first it would of released off the mould easier I think

Man it had 2 coats of release agent and 3 coats of release wax. The gel coat (appears to be out of date) it’s some old stuff I had left so figured ide use it, it hasn’t gone off properly in areas and was attacking the solvents in the clear.

Jewel purple from old ford escort is bit more pinky purple than blueish purple without being trashy. I'm soon to paint my e46 and can't find reasoning to decide from oxford green (later peridot green), tehcno violet, sienna red, baikal blue from e9, porsche gemini blue, porsche jet green. Or just maybe keep it in titan silver as god intended it for every e46 on the road to be that colour

Did well with the lacquer on the 46 , retro Marlboro colours with a touch of blue for the RX7 if it’s a track car , frozen grey for a road car . Gel is generally ok for age , main causes for dodgy gel coat are not mixing it well enough or aligatoring is caused by second coat of gel or resin being applied before the first coat has cured sufficiently. Pop the bonnet back in the mold and reinforce the mold as it’s not thick enough Along the back edge. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, this flag is an English flag 🇬🇧this flag is a United Kingdom flag , the UK is not a physical land mass, it’s a corporation and Union set up for commerce and collecting taxes , it’s ‘ citizens’ are incidentally made surety for the national debt via the birth certificate. @ 😂 don’t take anything too seriously as messages can come across kinda weird sometimes , then everyone gets the wrong ideas. If your doing resin infusion on the bonnet just watch the cure times and ambient temps / vacuum leaks , otherwise your vacuum pump will be on constantly and possibly burn out . 2 layers of 200 one layer of 450 and a 2mm soric in between, extra layers down the sides as these crack ( make a jig for the hinge mounts when the bonnet is in the mold too 👍) . 😉
