“What’s your understanding of feminism?” *proceeds to underhand shame someone regarding the pictures she posts* assuming she’s not feminist herself 🤣
@baked_alaska3 жыл бұрын
I didn't see any shaming in that conversation. She asked Maeva if she saw an increase in reaction to certain types of content that she puts on social media. That isn't shaming, it's the whole point of her dissertation. There is nothing shameful about women posting provocative content on their social media because feminism is about females claiming their right to their own power in all forms and that includes their sexual identity. Maeva's response was the only anti-feminist thing about this situation because she tried to make dictations about who Eliza was and wasn't friends with, implied that James was using Eliza as a "plan B" like she's some kind of bottom-feeding side-hoe for being friends with him and then proceeded to completely fuck over Eliza's interview to fight with her about men only to make the excuse that Eliza doesn't understand because she walked away from a hostile situation. Had Maeva been more explanatory instead of attacking Eliza like a wolverine, maybe she would have had better luck helping her to see things from her perspective.

@@rachelvinchi7175 hahaha. “I live here, they’re angry all the time” 😂🤣😂 I had a roommate in college who was from Paris, and I never knew what mood she would be in from day to day. She was very jealous too. In general. Like when I (or her other friends) would have a boyfriend, she was livid that you’d want to spend some time with your boyfriend as well. It was tough. After one semester I couldn’t live with her anymore, her moods drove me crazy. And I remember thinking, Paris already doesn’t have the best reputation as far as people being rude, and she certainly did nothing to help the stereotype.

Shame she is doing her dissertation on something she clearly has no insight on. Like Emma Watson once said “feminism is not a stick women should beat other women with. Feminism is about choice and gender equality” . If a women wants to post imagery of herself in lingerie that is her choice.
@lavienestpasunlongfleuvetr25593 жыл бұрын
The subject of her dissertation 'is social media empowering women or objectifying them' is a fair one. It's reasonable for her to want to interview women who use social media in an objectifying way, to find out their experience of it. There's nothing 'unfeminist' about asking questions. What IS unfeminist, however, is Maeva trying to squabble with her over 2 guys. If anyone lacks insight about feminism here, it's Maeva.
@phoebeanonymous2443 жыл бұрын
@@lavienestpasunlongfleuvetr2559 I think their “squabbling” is completely unrelated 🤷♀️. I don’t see how one person calling out another person’s motives and the other disagreeing with them (and irrelevant to who is right or wrong as it’s just a silly misunderstanding most likely) how has this got anything to do with gender equality in particular women having equal rights to men 🤔
