I'm pretty sure the guy in that brz you passed runs a 2:00.xx so it's not super out of place. The one you have saw at the grid runs a 1:58.9 on stock six year old suspension.

This run org said 1:58 was minimum lap time for this group. It was a nice leisurely pace, people were probably averaging 2:03 in it.

How come you keep braking so early and turning in so early (almost having to turn twice) and early apexing? It's making it so your not rotated enough and killing your exit speed. It's not going to show against an s2000 or BRZ, but there is a lot of time to be had. Were these new/different tires than you use to?

You are right and I also did not use the full track in this video. These are the first 3 laps I've driven the c7 on a track. I was driving very cautiously here.

I love my C7 Z51 too! If you want to add just a bit more to it a ported throttle body and the BMS intake filter both help give you some better throttle response and lower your IATs. I also have lowering bolts added just to have more room for low if I wanted to do so but I'm at the stock bolts lowest level.

I have both an E90 and a C7 convertible. Don't track my cars. Hard to say which one I like better. They are totally different. Lucky (and broke) to have both hahahahaha.

@@davissilvestrs1996 A Stock Corvette....Stock with 460hp a 40hp difference. The e90 m3 weighs 3700ish pounds stock, Gutted its probably close 3500. It has a full cage that stiffens the body which makes it handle better, fully adjustable suspension, lightweight wheels, a big brake kit AND aero which allows it to take turns with more speed. Put ALL of that into the vette which kept up already and its going to be fast.

@@SuperSilvi1990 Stingray Corvette still weighs less at around 3477lbs, has a dedicated sports car 2 seater platform compared to the E90 which is basically an entry level $30k saloon with a big engine. E90 platform also is 9 years older than the C7. As for the power plants - E90 has a 4.0 liter 420hp/295lb-ft engine compared to the 461hp/450lb-ft Corvette 6.2 LS. If anything this just shows how incredible the BMW platforms are, with the most basic mods they can still hang with modern dedicated sports cars around circuit.

al mine is a 17.5 so it comes with track pack and all 3 oil coolers as well as magnaride. I think I’ll be okay. I also run Amsoil signature series oil. Glad you a hater tho. Means I’m doing something right.

Uh. That specific car is on 260TW tires, and 100% stock otherwise. There were 50 86's at the track that day, many in the low 2 and a few sub 2 with less than 200whp.
