F1 24 handling is too arcadey like 98. Even Formula 1 1995 PS1 had better handling.

Slow speed corners are like driving on ice, and kerbs are basically non existent. They hit a nice sweet spot with 23, but they just HAD to mess it up for the sake of "change". That's another symptom of yearly sports releases imo. I hate to say it, but sports games may actually benifet from being a live service.

When I see these comments, I always wonder how you guys know an F1 car should feel like, without ever being anywhere bear one of them irl, never mind drive. For all we know, the habdling js realistic af. We just will never know for sure. According to the F1 drivers, it feels more realistic than last year, but they're obviously getting paid, so not sure how much trustworthy their words are.

@@revirdkcalb people have an idea from actual F1 cars that are modeled with help of the F1 teams into the game on simulators like AC and iracing (not talking about 3rd party mods). Most people compare them to that. I’ve watch Lando’s “review” and he could not seem any less interested in the game so it was obviously a forced paid promotion.

No comments about Kerbs been almost removed from the game or zero effects on the car. Wet tyres been useless. They mean well but this looks like a big mess.

@@Werferharfer Imola is such a blatant example of this, not only you can take those sausage kerbs at Tamburello and Villenueve like they’re nothing, they’re not even supposed to be there IRL, watch a lap of Imola in game, and then watch Max’s pole lap IRL. Maybe I should just pretend it’s the updated circuit lol

Has it ever occurred to you that most people who play the game might actually be casual gamers? If Codemasters made it a hardcore sim like ACC or iRacing, the game would probably flop miserably because sim racers/e-sports players only make up a small part of the player base. F1 games have always been aimed at the masses. And they don't play with a steering wheel and gloves, but in the evening after work or after school with a controller.

@@benn8793 choose a side buddy. They say is more realistic, meaning in their opinion is more sim. You say is more made for casual players. It makes no sense. What now arcade, sim or simcade? Everybody knows the game isn't a hardcore sim (whatever that means), but the game has to feel natural , in this case it isn't, furthermore if too easy and has no challenges, will be probably boring.

99% of the people complaining havent even played the game yet and are just going off what content creators are saying. THOSE same content creators only play F1, and havent driven an F1 car in games that are far more realistic, like iracing. The handling of F1 24 sounds like it is way more in-line with iracing and the realistic F1 mods for Assetto Corsa. F1 cars have way more grip in real life than they do in the previous F1 games. This new tire model is not more arcadey, or more unrealistic, its actually sounding like how the cars should feel, and i think you should all wait to judge until after you play the game.

On top of that, most of the content creators who badmouth the game are e-sport players and sim racers. They have completely different requirements for a game than the average gamer who just wants to play a few laps after work/school or play the career mode.

I’ve literally played it today, it is awful it feels like arcade and that is my honest reaction before even watching videos and knowing it was an issue, the car’s ability to fly through bumps in corners without sipping and the game correcting the issue is weird that’s me playing with zero assists

@@TomH2681 Did you even play the games 20 years ago? The console games from back then had terrible handling compared to today. I know the early 2000s games from EA were massively different on PC compared to the consoles. On PC it was more sim. But the PC version was dropped after 2002.

All the things which made me dislike the old handling is being mentioned here. Cars had to be handeled gently rear ends were way to lose. On iracing the mercedes F1 cars are easier to drive than the arcade games. Formule cars are about pushing it to the limit, not about being gentle on everything. F1 cars have alot of grip and downforce, but in previous games you just spin without reason and without feedback what is happening. The new handling seems to be very sharp, it looks like you can corner the car with full throttle.

Yh but they have executed it very poorly. The quickest way to drive is by steering the same way you would in Mariokart which is not realistic at all. There's also no satisfaction as it is too easy to stay on the track

@@terrible1fi haha, well easier to drive but still a huge learning curve to be fast. There is so much you can learn to become a better driver. But atleast when you crash you do get feedback, or you know yourself, why you’ve crashed. On F1 it always seemed to be random to me.

I agree. If you think about it, you can only feel sorry for Codemasters. The games have always been for casual gamers who wanted to enjoy a few laps after work/school. In the last few years, however, all the e-sports players/sim racers have come along who now want to claim the game for themselves. So Codemasters has to cater for 3 different types of players at the same time.

@@ryancganim Please learn to read. I never said that I wanted arcade handling. The fact is that the F1 game has to be suitable for a large number of people. And the masses are not hardcore sim racers, but casual gamers. A. a steering wheel takes up considerably more space than a controller and b. a decent steering wheel costs considerably more than a pad. I'd like to know what you base your claim that most F1 players use a steering wheel on. And one more thing. You're calling me selfish? Take a look in the mirror yourself. For a few years now, you sim racers have been behaving as if you own the entire racing game genre. Anything that doesn't meet your standards because it's not ‘sim’ enough is slammed and belittled mercilessly. I could bet that hardly any of you have ever even been close to a racing car.

​@@benn8793These Esportlers absolutely know what they are talking about. They are spending over 1.000 hours on the game every year and are the only ones driving the car to the Limit. Also many of them raced formula cars in rl too, so they know what a realistic handling is and what isnt (Jarno Opmeer and Lucas Blakeley in F4).Why should I believe some casuals who only have the pace for 50 AI if they say that the handling is good and realistic?

This video is great and adds a little balance to what we are hearing being reported by other content providers. EA have obviously put a great deal of effort into making the gameplay experience more realistic, even if it takes us out of our comfort zone. I can't wait to try it now!

The handling shown in the video is not the game as the current footage we are seeing from creators. This is false advertising DONT BUY THIS GAME (yet, or ever) And Mirror. Please send 2 people to playtest games. 1 frequent player and 1 casual and get the best of both opinions for audiences
