I will never understand why they don't plan the release of the game for when all the football starts for the season. Having 3-5 weeks of footy (depending on what league you follow) before the release makes no sense to me.

It makes little sense - they should release the game in line with the season (which is when I’m most excited for everything football in general) and then do a squad patch half way through the market and at the end of it or something - it’s basically what they have to do behind the scenes anyways !

They already don't have enough time to develop a "new" game each year. Bringing the game forward 3-4 weeks would be impossible. Only answer would be to skip a year and have 2 years to develop a new game. They could then reset the launch date to coincide with the new European season. Another reason they want the launch date as late as possible so that the financial reporting is in a later period.

Don’t book days off when a game is first released as servers etc aren’t guaranteed to be working as expected. Always give it a week at least.

If you buy the game on new generation it comes free with an old generation copy, and your UT carries over... it does with xbox... probably does with PS too.
