A free-to-play football game that prides itself on play-to-win over pay-to-win, UFL has finally gone live for players with early access, with the full game going live worldwide on Thursday, December 5. @@Jesus3oh3 yeah but the technology keeps shifting, engines change and balancing the mechanics is not a simple task. They started developing the game during the PS4s lifespan, now they have the PS5 and the PS5 Pro, they have the Xbox, the game is apparently coming to PC too, its complicated. Video games are incredibly complex nowadays. You adjust passing physics slightly and suddenly you have to rebalance the entire game again. Someone adds a couple goalie animations and then the entire attacking portion of gameplay has to be re-done. It's not about difficulty as much as it is about time. It takes time.

The game being free doesn't justify it's quality tbh. Developers should always try to make the best game possible, regardless of what it costs. There are lots of people who only play free-to-play games because they simply lack the money to buy games, and this is what they "deserve"? I don't think so. You should always criticise quality first, and then look at the price. So many games have done this right, like Fortnite and Apex legends. Sure, not the best games out there, but hell they're a lot of fun...and FREE!

The game is a breath of fresh air when it comes to football games. FC 25 sadly is a slog at the moment and efootball takes one step forward and two back for every patch. This game is far from perfect and needs tuning but there is a great potential here. And for the price (I paired for pre order) and free to play elements it is a no brainier to give it a try. The RP cap is a smart way to regulate god squads and I have so far really enjoyed building a team as every purchase is really important when it comes to improving your team. I can see this continue well into the game. Gameplay wise I love the manual defending, the AI for both attacking and defensive runs are really good and shooting is the star. Dribbling and op elements of passing needs to be worked on. I look forward to follow this game.

Best review I've seen so far! But the passing looks too easy and ping pong like! Passing needs to be responsive yes, but it should only be accurate when you have the right momentum and body position! As long as the game has a foundation to build on I'm down to give it a try. EAFC is completely lost. I had to quit that game 3 years ago. Kept on playing due to being heavily addicted for way too long. Wish I quit that game much sooner. The game doesn't deserve any credit whatsoever. It's a complete mess gameplay wise. They've lost me for good. There is no foundation to build on regarding EAFC, but EAFC is too stubborn to realize. You can't because everything is delayed. The game can't keep up with your inputs, most people are just playing counter attack into strikers because build up is broken.
