EA Sports FC 24 is an upcoming football video game, developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and published by EA Sports serving as the inaugural installment in the EA Sports FC series following the conclusion of EA's partnership with FIFA, and the 31st overall installment, and is set to launch worldwide on 29 September 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Although intentionally undefined, EA's marketing implies that 'FC' stands for 'Football Club' - "Created for fans by fans, EA SPORTS FC is a new Football Club for the future of football we want to build together."

The reason why the gameplay is the way it is, is because of ultimate team...the children who play it dont want an authentic experience...they want easy goals...and lots of them...ea definitely do not want to upset thier legion of young gambling addicts.

totally agree, the young youth represents around 80% from the overall customers . Thats why ea is not focusing on making a realistic gameplay although i really believe it is now so easy.. we have all these engines around in the room yet the gameplay is the same every year

Fifa / FC's problem is that they have become a mammoth of billion dollar revenue, and when you have shareholders and such expecting you to match annual revenue projections there is no room for experimentation or significant change. You can make the game realistic with custom sliders, but the overall engine mixed with the DDA B.S. means everything is hinged on player stats and ranking to sell packs to little kids. Wu Tang said it... C.R.E.A.M. My biggest pet peeves are when playing with a particular team the speed and movement of my controlled players changes depending on the ranking of the other team. Using PSG against Man City suddenly my passes are moving like molasses. I can literally feel the system holding my players back in regards to speed, but then switch to a slightly lower ranking opponent and suddenly the lead boots are taken off and I'm free again to sprint at normal speeds and pass with integrity. The 45' minute expected goals when the CPU goes terminator mode are annoying. Your punished for not scoring a goal as opposed to bad defensive strategy and it's become predictable. The ping pong movement of the ball and unrealistic deflections so that the game can force some sort of narrative is super stressful. It's no longer a simulation, it's an arcade frenzy for a generation of Door dash, Amazon, Tik tok gotta have it now without any work ethic or patience. EA, make a futbol game where you literally can select simulation mode and the gameplay is like what we watch on the tele.

You missed a lot mate. FIFA improved a lot until they brought frostbite engine which ruined everything. I had great time with FIFA 12 as well, so I reinstalled it recently just to find out it's way too outdated now and no longer fun.

Early beta versions were definitely different. Slower and more believable movement. EA shit in their pants again and released nothing more than a modified FIFA 23 at the end. They haven’t the balls to move on with this game. 😢

When you watch pes 21 you will see the ball often flicks up in the air in a realistic way when it's passed with pace and the ball slows down and looks to have some Wight to it. In fc24 it's like ping pong. The ball physics are rubbish.

i was a fifa fan, but this game got worse at one point, and then havent yet recover to this day. i'd rather play friendly matches in efootball and imagining it's a career mode than play this awful game. players look like skiing on ice, ball stick to the feet like it's glued, legs flailing, etc. the satisfied feeling and excitement for succesfully breaking down opponent's defence is simply not exist because it's too easy and the goals are almost identical. efootball is far from perfect but at least it's the lesser evil.
